You shouldn't rely on Wikipedia solely for your information. It is often wrong. As it is here...
"The majority of Rwandans, and Tutsis in particular, are Catholic, so shared religion did not prevent genocide
The Tutsis are Anglican. The Hutus are Roman Catholic.

"The Tutsis are Anglican. The Hutus are Roman Catholic." Recycling Ian Paisleys old lies isn't good for the environment. This charge has been refuted so many times it is ridiculous.
But since you are holding forth on the history of Burundi perhaps you can elaborate on the causes and predominant religions of those associated with the 1972 Rumonge and Nyanza-lac atrocities.

Ah, Al, NL, don't you know that the truth never hampers a cult-member. GB, I've copied you in because I pointed out to you one place where Dr. E took an excerpt out of context of the Pope's message and used it to imply something else. Here's a third method she uses -- blatantly publishing a falsehood that can be
easily verified even by checking Wikipedia
DR. E says a falsehood about Tutsi's being Anglicans. Wikipedia and Encyclopedia Brittanica (I've linked to
wikipedia) points out that the Tutsis are
Predominantly Roman Catholic.
If Dr E cared for the truth, she would verify before saying what she says, but it is apparent in all of her posts that she doesn't
This woman is no representative of "all Protestants".

You shouldn’t rely on the convicted criminal Ian Paisley as your sole source. The genocide was due to ethnics, not religion.
If you are looking for atrocities due to religion, look no further than massacre at Drogheda, Ireland.
