My guess? This will drive more congregations that are on the fence about leaving to take action now rather than wait until it’s voted upon.
It’s sad that the ELCA is more concerned about clutching power to itself than about the Word of God.

Yes, I believe so. Throughout this campaign of divisiveness the ELCA has dropped the mask of Christianity and revealed itself to be nothing different from any other secular concentration of leftist power-- using the Faith as a figleaf to hide its intentions and homosexuality as the wedge to break up the community of believers. Standard Marxist tactics perpetrated by the latest generation of useful idiots.
