The understanding of your faith may allow you to believe bashing is a good thing, but the counsel I receive from the Lord is to bridle the nature man.

I am not always successful but I am willing to strive to do the Lord will.

1 Thes. 2 ( Love, work, labor, faith, will,)

7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

20 For ye are our glory and joy.

How can one honestly walk worthy in the sight of the Lord if they are going against His will by being disruptive speaking ill of another even being contentious? Rom. 2: 10 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

What a truly incredible statement.

That is God instruction to each of us. You cannot change other people's attitude. Only God can do that. Heck, you can't even change your own without God's help. If someone wants to nitpick on you, then you should just accept it and

1) pray that God would help that person to come to a greater understanding and love, or

2) pray that God isn't giving you this problem as chastisement because of your foolishness.

That's the whole idea behind persecution. That's why we count it all joy when we suffer persecution, because we can see growth in others or in ourselves.
