I plan to leave the bandages alone tonight.
Have been out and about all day and now had shower with plastic glove. Bandages are still dry. Some added blood seepage but given all the bonking etc. quite minimal.
I think it would be better to avoid disturbing them another 24 hours or even longer . . . by changing them.
Your or anyone else’s more knowledgeable counsel?
I worked in an orthopedic office for several years and as long as the dressing was clean, we would leave it on a few days.
Then if the wounds are no longer bleeding, keep it open to the air as you rest around the house.
Apply a new lite dressing when going out, or if there is any more bleeding or drainage.
Don’t pick at the cut hand. Let the cut begin to heal shut, get some air to it as soon as you can, keep bandage clean and loose. - I know how men are about picking at cuts and all. Let the scab stay on long enough to do its job. Scabs are God’s bandages.
