Who says that Catholics are spiritual Israel?

Mark, Catholics say Catholics are spiritual Israel. On post after post. And yet there are posts where Catholics say they are NOT spiritual Israel. You say you aren't. Annalex says you are, if I'm not mistaken. C'mon. We have this argument/disagreement almost weekly. It's the "yes we are, no we aren't of the great debate WITHIN Catholic postings. You guys need to decide which one it is, and let us know.

This is the first response I have to your post. I'll be back with the remainder in a while.

Prove it. We are not replacements for Israel, we are the receivers of the New Covenant. In a way, we might be considered a new Israel, but only from the point of view that God has also extended His Covenant to us - albeit a new one.

It isn't up to me and it isn't up to Alex. It is up to the Faith of the Church. The Faith says - what? I have offered to take you on a tour of the Catechism, although I'm sure that you look far better than Dante, and I know very well that I couldn't pass for Vergil. I'm taller, for one thing...

Please do, and remember me when you have questions, as we previously discussed, rather than post various things at odds with the reality of the Faith....
