But Jesus did a lot of miracles that showed supernatural ability before His resurrection. He did, for example, walk on water.
She didnt NEED to remain a virgin after the birth of Christ
She had no such obligation, to be sure, but it is reasonable that she did. Her womb was the true tabernacle, after all, something not to be touched.
No, it's not reasonable that she did. It's reasonable that she appropriately fulfilled her role to Joseph as his wife and bore him the children that the Bible mentions and names.
Her womb was the true tabernacle, after all, something not to be touched.
What a bunch of nonsense.
Christ is holy and sinless and is not corrupted by contact with sin. His environment did not need to be sinless for Him to inhabit it. Mary wasn't. She knew she needed a savior. She herself called God her *savior*.
There is NOTHING in Scripture that supports any of the contentions (fairy tales) that the Catholic church has made up about Mary.
Her womb was the true tabernacle, after all, something not to be touched.
That is downright pornographic and perverted.
Have you taken a biology course to know what happens in that area of a young woman each month?
Now take a look at Leviticus 15:19-31. Let me summarize. Most of these passages have to do with a woman at that time of flow:
Lev 15:19-21 If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening. Everything that she lies on during her impurity shall be unclean; also everything that she sits on shall be unclean. And it keeps going on and on about all that is unclean just because of her blood. We even have regulations about a "discharge" that lasts for "many days". Its all covered here. After this cycle, she is still unclean for seven more days and on the eighth must take a couple birds to the priest, one as a sin offering to make atonement for her before the LORD for the discharge of her uncleanness.
And we aren't done there, here is the kicker:
Lev 15:31-32 "Thus you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness when they defile My tabernacle that is among them. This is the law for one who has a discharge...
Did you get that? What you propose is that Mary each month defiles the "tabernacle" under the penalty of death. [insert cheap-shot at RCC over the perversity that comes out of a bunch of men who never knew a woman who now dream up new Traditions]
“But Jesus did a lot of miracles that showed supernatural ability before His resurrection. He did, for example, walk on water.”
Well yes, I can see how that would prove beyond doubt that Mary remained ever virgin....yes, of course....bit thick of me not to see that.....who wouldn’t, right?
