I asked if you believed that Mary, the mother of Jesus, wasn't there

Mary the Mother of God was at the Cross along with Mary Cleophas and Mary Magdalene. Mary the Mother of God was not among the women bringing myrrh to the tomb.

Ah, but she was there.

(RSV - IGNATIUS EDITION) MARK 16:1* * And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.

Of course she was there, Annalex. Are you saying Mary would not go to her own son's tomb? What kind of mother are you making her out to be - uncaring, cold, indifferent? Of course his brothers would, also, go to support their grieving mom.

You need to thank OLD REGGIE for guiding/showing you through Scripture the compassion Mary had for her Son - just like any mom has. It might give you a better appreciation of how a down-to-earth mom she really was. Not off somewhere thinking she's high and mighty and it's all about her.

This excludes Mary Virgin Mother of God and clearly shows that Mary the mother of James, and Salome was not the same woman. Not every Mary is Mary Our Lady.
