***Also read 2 Cor. 12:12. Paul says that truly the signs of an apostle were wrought by him among the Corinthians. In signs and wonders, and mighty deeds***

I could be mistaken on this but were all those at Pentecost given many gifts. All 120 of them not just the apostles..Or did the Holy Spirit just touch the apostles...I think the tongues of fire appeared on all of them..and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and give the gift of tongues. ALL OF THEM Cp 2 Acts.

Paul did nothing that those 120 didn't also do...that could not be a sign of his being an apostle. The 120 including Mary the mother of Jesus were there, if Paul received this gift it would have had to have been given to him by the laying on of hands by the Apostles would it not?

I don't remember reading anything in scripture about the Holy Spirit doing for Paul as He did with the 120 in the upper room.....

He certainly was (as Jesus said) and instrument for taking the gospel to the gentiles....the 12 apostles were forbidden to do this as Jesus was sent first to the Jews...and that was where his immediate inner circle (apostle) were to preach to...

Paul received the Holy Ghost from the laying on of hands by Ananias, the first instance of the Holy Spirit being imparted through an ordinary believer. Of course you know that Ananias was sent to Paul through a vision of Jesus Christ. He was called a disciple. (Acts 9:10-17).
