Paul received the Holy Ghost from the laying on of hands by Ananias, the first instance of the Holy Spirit being imparted through an ordinary believer. Of course you know that Ananias was sent to Paul through a vision of Jesus Christ. He was called a disciple. (Acts 9:10-17).
Actually, Scripture is silent on his status - whether ordained or not. We also know that the Holy Spirit made examples of them a little later on, so that would lead me to believe that Ananias had a little higher position than simply an ordinary joe.
