What's the matter? You have something against private property? Money? People owning their own stuff?

Many Catholics are Socialists.

The very protestant Reverent Wright - Obama's old pastor - is a socialist. Your point? When a protestant is a socialist, he can always claim that the Spirit guided him to interpret the Word. And thats about all she wrote. When a Catholic is a socialist, his divergence from the dogma of the Church proves him to be apostate or heretical. Example: When Pope John Paul II visited Nicaragua in 1983, he very publicly scolded wayward socialist priest Ernesto Cardenal on the tarmac because Cardenal promoted liberation theology.

"Many Catholics are Socialists."

Actually, many errant Catholics are socialists. The Catechism specifically addresses socialism and states the Church has rejected the totalitarian and atheistic ideologies associated in modem times with "communism" or "socialism." and "Regulating the economy solely by centralized planning perverts the basis of social bonds.

That does not explain the many Protestants socialists, one of whom occupies the White House now.
