In Christ Alone lyrics

Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save

?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

My Jesus and my Gospel are capitalized; but to answer your question, the life, teachings, and results of Jesus the Christ. If that is not enough for you, then feel free to wander along the byways of men, as the Reformation does.

I do not care if YOUR gospel is capitalized.. what was the gospel that Jesus said He preached??

Mat 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Mar 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

What was jesus preaching to them ?

"Read the Bible, Mark. It's all there."

LOL, your Bible isn't even all there!

Which, for the record is absolutely crushed by such schools as are found in Singapore, Taiwan, and everywhere in India.

You apparently don't have a clue about how old I am. Maybe that goes for today....

Above average? I'm surprised that you can sign your name.

Getting personal much?

My children are getting an education in spite of the cesspool that you guys bruit about that passes for education here in the United States.

My kids are all honors students in their respective private big name universities based on the home education I gave then. Try again.

You want links? Go to Wikipedia. Even Wiki is above average compared to the education of the morons.

Wikipedia? You mean the Wikipedia that just anybody can go and edit any time they want so it can say what they want to prove that they're right?

That one has put to rest as being so totally unreliable that it's a joke. For all the complaining you do about Dr. E's sources for anti-Catholic material, you're doing no better with Wikipedia.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Wellllllllllllllllll

when folks deny authentic history about the RCC beginning 300-400 years after Christ . . .

and fantasize about all manner of hideous junk purportedly about their concocted “Mary,”

it is more than a little plausible that they would have to

LOOK UP to ASPIRE

to a level of a ‘moron’s’ education.

This psychologist finds you a lot more erudite, bright, educated, logical, etc. than the entire cliques of rabid clique RC’s hereon put together.

my parents had a grade 8 education and over time, I see they were some of the smartest people I ever knew and I thank God for the education they gave me, both at home, in school, and in church attendance. to even judge someone by the lack of school, or all the letters one can add on after their names, is what is truly moronic

"The Jews handed Jesus over to the Romans for execution and yet the blood remained on their hands."

What a racist and antisemitic thing to say. Not coincidentally, it is the same thing said by Luther and the Nazi's to steal their possessions and kill millions of them. Sure makes me glad that I am not a Reformist.

Speaking of official antisemetic actions:

This is so pathetic ! What can a secular education give to a spiritually blind audience , like the ones we post to? They see but they are blind, they hear but they are deaf.. spiritual truths are spiritually discerned, not intellectually

1Cr 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

You have them running in circles.. and their only defense if "your too stupid" to understand.. LOL

Mat 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

Like children we come in our imperfection and need.. having nothing of worth within ourselves we come as beggars with our hands outstretched

how DO you pick and choose what to believe?

That sure wasn't the case at Santa Clara.

Where does the RCC catechism say the Roman Catholic church is fallible anywhere?

2297 Kidnapping and hostage taking bring on a reign of terror; by means of threats they subject their victims to intolerable pressures. They are morally wrong. Terrorism threatens, wounds, and kills indiscriminately; it is gravely against justice and charity. Torture which uses physical or moral violence to extract confessions, punish the guilty, frighten opponents, or satisfy hatred is contrary to respect for the person and for human dignity. Except when performed for strictly therapeutic medical reasons, directly intended amputations, mutilations, and sterilizations performed on innocent persons are against the moral law.91

2298 In times past, cruel practices were commonly used by legitimate governments to maintain law and order, often without protest from the Pastors of the Church, who themselves adopted in their own tribunals the prescriptions of Roman law concerning torture. Regrettable as these facts are, the Church always taught the duty of clemency and mercy. She forbade clerics to shed blood. In recent times it has become evident that these cruel practices were neither necessary for public order, nor in conformity with the legitimate rights of the human person. On the contrary, these practices led to ones even more degrading. It is necessary to work for their abolition. We must pray for the victims and their tormentors.

ARTICLE 5 THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT

Learn, "doctor". Bottom line is, your charlatan pastors teach counterbiblical nonsense and because they know so, they direct their propaganda at things that happened long ago in cultures modern mind cannot comprehend. Thast, and not any personal flaws is the indecency of Protestantism. It is a culture of lies.

Learn annalex, learn the meaning of the English language words you published.

Nowhere does the Catechism you published admit the fallibility of the Church. Individual Pastors (the convenient fall guys)- yes. The RCC - NO!

Self serving propaganda. Read for meaning.

But killing and torture of those who did not subscribe to the particular Protestant brand of each colony were, until the federal government quelled it. Massachusetts was a particularly barbaric colony, although several others vied for its level of barbarism. Where did you guys get your education? Have you no idea of what was actually done in history or do you have the usual American glaze eyed deer in the headlights stare when it comes to actual reality?

And just where did you get this education that everyone else seems to have missed and that you can't find any links to back it up?

No. Wait. let me guess.....

A Catholic school?
