In Christ Alone lyrics

Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save

?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

What is the good news found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?

“Study to show thyself approved.”

Or, like so many Roman Catholics, remain ignorant of Scripture and thus continue to fall prey to the idolatry and superstition of Rome.

You posted it from an anti Catholic website

What website would that be, Mark?

If I interpret that in the thread context, I begin to wonder if it is possible you are advising your enemies (whoever THEY are) to give you whatever you want/need, in order to make you feel ashamed.

lol. You've answered your own question. You're not "interpreting" the Scriptures correctly.

Yet again.

The Holy Inquisition is about spiritual purification.

And for the record hell is a very real possibility for you

That's a possibility for all men, NL. You, included. All men are fallen.

But the fact you make your post personal is just more of your unrestrained rule-breaking. I doubt there are many posters who've had as many posts deleted as you.

And your defense of your crude "To hell with them" in your diatribe against the Religion Moderator in post 381 convicts you of both more rule-breaking and abject indiscretion.

Hallmarks of Rome.

Tell that to the those burned alive at the stake and tortured to death for daring to oppose the Catholic church.

So much for freedom. There is none with the Catholic church. One can’t even choose one’s own destiny, even if one wants to go to hell. The Catholic church claims authority over even that.

You’ll be saved even if they have to kill you to do it. So there.

What chutzpah.

The Catholic Church is the true Israel, because in her the covenants with Israel of old are fulfilled, and the new one exists. However, the Church is neither a replacement for or heir of the geopolitical and historical entity known as Israel. The question which covenants of the Old Testament refer to the Church and which — to the country of Israel and which — to the Jewish people does not have a simple answer, and some aspects of it are open to debate.

LOL. Yeah, I'm sure the hundreds of thousands of slaughtered men, women and children would be happy to know they were murdered by Rome in order to "purify" the papacy.

Satanic behavior from those who knew him best.

The hardest penalty the Holy Inquisition could impose is excommunication, and the only people it could impose it on were Catholics. However, the Church always respected the civil law of the land, which indeed treated apostasy harshly.

Today we need the inquisition in America adn West Europe to rid the Church of pederast priests, lesbian nuns and lavender mafia in seminaries. I understand, of course, why you would side with the enemies of the Church on this, but remember: we win in the end. Glory be to God.

BTW,

Would you happen to have a count of how many times you’ve been warned to grow a thick skin or leave the thread in various wordings?

I’ve lost track since I wasn’t consciously counting them anyway.

Some of us are pretty sure you’re due for an unprecedented award in that department.

Just the choosing process would likely take them til the end of time.

. . . morbidly Anti-[Roman] Catholic . . .

Prey tell what's that?

A Proddy running around in a Halloween Costume as the Grim Reaper?

A Proddy typing while cold and stiff?

A Proddy in a fit of depression over the seeming lostness of so many RC's?

What? What? What?

lol. Those are the same kind of lies Russia used to tell its citizens. (I'm pinging a few Christians to witness the creepy, unholy fiction being pushed by Rome these days.)

Thankfully, the lies Rome concocts are transparent...and not unexpected.

"For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD" -- Isaiah 32:6

Wow...that's exactly like what the Islamic Jihadists say. Sure you don't want a "do-over" on that???
