In Christ Alone lyrics

Songwriters: Getty, Julian Keith; Townend, Stuart Richard;

In Christ alone my hope is found He is my light, my strength, my song This Cornerstone, this solid ground Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace When fears are stilled, when strivings cease My Comforter, my All in All Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh Fullness of God in helpless Babe This gift of love and righteousness Scorned by the ones He came to save

?Til on that cross as Jesus died The wrath of God was satisfied For every sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious Day Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory Sin?s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ

I don’t recall the precise wording of that verse. Do you have it handy?

I’m not sure it’s a remotely critical issue. It appears abundantly to me and to much of the Universal Church of Christ abroad in the world that

Paul was an exceedingly important and fine Apostle of Jesus The Christ . . . whom Christ went to great lengths to recruit and transform into such.

Seems to me . . .

the head of the Vatican is merely reaping what’s been sown in that illustration . . .

given some recent Encyclicals . . . flatulance seem to issue forth from the Vatican through many channels from speeches to written tomes.

The paragraph about the glories of globalism still takes the cake . . .

but the pronouncements about how ET’s are candidates for Christ’s Salvation . . . or not in need of it . . . and are likely benign to helpful toward us . . . those pronouncements may become even more stinky examples of such Vatican propagations.

“Calvinists and the OSAS crowd tell us of the certainty of their own salvation and excoriate Catholics who have only the hope of salvation. Catholics pray several times during each Mass variations of the prayer that the tax collector prayed and that is a deeply held and fundamental part of Christianity. The various anti Catholics on FR regularly say that they thank God that they are not like the Catholics and that they are indeed of the elect.”

We should all stop writing when we feel adrenaline........

I challenge you to give a doctrinal refutation of the points made below:

From a story about comments made by the Director of the Vatican Observatory

“Just as a multiplicity of creatures exists on the Earth, so there could be other creatures, even intelligent ones, created by God,” the Argentine Jesuit said.

“This does not conflict with our faith, because we cannot set limits on the creative liberty of God.”

According to Funes, such creatures may never have fallen into sin, and so have no need of salvation through Christianity.

“It is not a given that they have need of redemption,” he said.

“They may have remained in full friendship with their Creator.”

Asked about the possibility of redemption for sinful extraterrestrials, Funes said he was “sure that even they, in some way, would have the possibility of enjoying the mercy of God.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Funes argued that the “big bang” theory of the universe’s origins does not conflict with the biblical account of creation

Paul was sent, but I maintain there is no scriptural base to call him an apostle. According to Peter he could not be an apostle. see Dr Eckleburg's scripture he posted as his answer, I used that to answer him.

So, what is the Gospel?

Don't you find the reluctance by RC's to answer this question simply astounding?
Evangelicals, would love nothing more than to hear and answer this question 10 times a day!

Unfortunately, it appears that most RC's think THE Gospel is just the entire contents of RC doctrine. or the contents of the the 4 "Gospels", with maybe a chapter or 2 from Acts. It appears NOT to be what we understand as The Good News.

The definition of FAITH to Rome is basically just an acknowledgement of the various doctrines and dogmas and obedience to all the rules and regulations. Certainly NOT what we understand by Faith in Christ Alone thru Faith Alone.

The definition of GRACE to Rome is more a limited quantity o infused divine quality, that can partially and temporarily cleanse the soul(sanctifying) or assist one in attaining THEIR OWN Righteousness (Actual).

. . . in case you really are interested in the truth . . .

Quixicated version
is the last half below.

.
1. GOD HATES LIARS--AS HE SAYS REPEATEDLY IN HIS WORD.

2. The critters are notorious liars.

3. God hates rape--as repeatedly indicated in His Word.

4. The critters rape thousands of people yearly.

5. God is hostile to satan's looming global government.

6. The critters are in cahoots with the globalists towards setting up said global government.

7. The critters have also convinced the global ruling elite that the ruling elite MUST forcefully terminate, kill the world's population down to 200 million left globally in order to save mankind from extinction and the planet from destruction. It's interesting that such occurs in the same era Scripture indicates is the BIBLICALLY prophesied END TIMES wherein God says 1/3rd of mankind will be killed at one period and not long after another 1/3rd of what's left will be killed.

8. Fallen angels in cahoots with satan setting up a satanic global government are not candidates for Christ's Salvation or any other. If,as the Vatican is increasingly indicating, the Vatican is on THEIR side, it's on the WRONG side, opposite from God. What a surprise.

“Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.” — Acts 1:21-22

is talking about replacing a DISCIPLE . . .

Personally, I think they erred and that Christ had chosen Paul. However, even then, they were already getting legalistic.

If you wish to ignore all Holy Spirit did through Paul IN ADDITION to Christ’s special commissioning of him and his conditioning in the wilderness . . . help yourself.

Doesn’t make sense to me.

It seems Paul wanted that title and just took it

Even the Roman Catholic church and its catechism are not so fallen as to deny Paul was an apostle of Jesus.

A strange brand of heretic here on FR denies Paul's preeminent rank among God's chosen apostles.

This error seems to have appeared because this same group cannot support their beliefs from the Scriptures.

And so they dismiss the Scriptures.

The Vatican has begun, imho, to more overtly condition the sheeple to accept ET critter involvement with the global government, including global religion.

The Pope is still keeping a ‘believable deniability’ type distance while sending fitting Vatican Observatory lessers out to do the dirty work of signalling and managing a paradigm shift for Roman Catholics around the world.

Given that Fatima was essentially a more elaborate sequence of fairly standard UFO manifestations—with a fairly common sized ET playing the role of the “Mary” figure, it’s not overly surprising though it is sad to observe.

Part of the Vatican Observatory’s spokespersons presentation was about how the ET critters are likely benign; either are candidates for Christ’s Salvation or not in need of it. yada yada yada.

More of the Biblically warned about GREAT DECEPTION of the END TIMES, imho.

Is that clear enough?

"Luther may have enjoyed a robust vocabulary, but he didn’t rape young boys like so many Roman Catholic “alter Christus” do and have done."

1) Your revised non potty mouthed word choice doesn't make this any less offensive.

2) Your defense of Luther is purely speculative.

I don't waste much time on a guy whose major "argument" is the strawman that Catholic doctrine is false because some prominent Catholics are sinners.

Th Church is a Church of sinners in need of a Savior. There is no shame or contradiction in that.

Wow. What a pathetic argument for looking the other way regarding the pederasty practiced by RC priests which is simply one more symptom of Rome's many doctrinal errors...

The "assumption of Mary bodily into heaven; regarding priests as "another Christ;" the confessional booth; the sacrificial alter; praying to saints; veneration of Mary as "co-redeemer;" baptismal regeneration; five extraneous sacraments; the papacy; limbo; purgatory; the denial of the priesthood of all believers; the misunderstanding of sanctification with justification; and a works-based salvation which obliterates grace.

To name but a few.

The first half, definitely. It has more impact, not to mention it's easier to read.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
