I could care less if it was racist too, all "anti" sites should be banned if anything is being banned.

"Anti" sources and Freepers are welcome on "open" Religion Forum threads. Vigorous pro and con is to be expected in a town square debate.

Posters who are deeply offended by "anti" opinions should IGNORE "open" Religion Forum threads altogether. Don't read them, don't post to them. Instead, read and post to "ecumenical" "caucus" "devotional" or "prayer" threads in the Religion Forum.

Both of you: enough has been said on the subject of the banned source. It's time to return to discussing the issues.

One characteristic that seems to be common in all occultic or cultic belief systems is the notion that the god of that belief system can be manipulated to act on behalf of the adherents if a set of specific rituals are followed. In that sense, Mormonism is highly occultic, but in fairness, the Eucharist and Baptism could also be accused of a similar function.

A little deeper look at the Eucharist yields a different perspective however, since it is not done to manipulate the God of the belief system but to remember Whom is the Savior. And Baptism is not done to force a balance sheet approach to God, but rather an obedience to be done just the once in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.<> Mormonism is replete with rituals which aim to make entries on a 'balance sheet' relationship to the god of Mormonism. And the salvation can be given 'after all that you can do' mentality is an instant giveaway that the system is at least cultic and in fact occultic when one looks at the rituals performed in their temples.
