Mormons use Christian terms with altered meanings that are apostate Mormon lingo.

If I had to choose between a Mormon in the White House or a Muslim Marxist who is a little light in the loafers (which we have now), I’d choose the one with the magic undergarments.

Just ask them where the historical archeological evidence for Joseph Smith’s prophecies actually are?

My wife is/was Mormon. No longer active in the church so is not authorized to wear her garments.

The Mormons also believe that we were married before we came to the earthly realm.

They also believe that there was a great Mormon civilization in America long ago and that the second coming will be in Independence, Missouri.

The believe the Meso American deity Quetzacoatl was in fact Jesus.

Tried going there for services once, not for me. Too much emphasis on Joseph Smith being deified.

Undecided readers,

If you peruse the Free Republic religion forums you will notice a pattern. There’s an anti-Mormon group of people here that spends a great deal of their time attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They post regurgitated propaganda on an almost daily basis.

They have a misguided obsession. You can witness many different tactics employed that you might find quite interesting. The straw man argument is a big favorite and is frequently preceded by cherry-picking quotes or other material. After the “quotation” the attacker will misrepresent what has been said or what was meant and then attack their own interpretation. You’ll likely see perfect examples of just this shortly after I post.

Sometimes they cruise the headlines of the day seeking any story that might be twisted into making the Church look bad. Anything will do, just watch the progression of posts following it and see what I mean.

After reading their posts, I invite you to seek the truth about whatever “issue” they seem to be “revealing” or “exposing”. I promise that if you do so with honest intent, the “ahah” moments you will have will be many and frequent. You will start to recognize the tactics employed to cleverly twist and attack and will likely chuckle the more you see. In actuality, there’s nothing new here. It’s all been addressed many times before.

Here’s a few links to get your started from a different viewpoint. I have found that the vast majority of the “issues” brought up can be found and addressed at http://www.fairlds.org/ but here’s more:

My favorite sequence of questions for mormons is as follows:

1. Do Mormons belive God created man? Yes
2. Was God once a man? Yes
3. If the answer to the first two questions are yes; what person, being, spirit created the first man that became the first god, and why is that person, being,or spirit not God? Answer is always, “God has not chosen to reveal that to us.”

Obviously, their beliefs in this regard are logically impossible and they know it; but if they admit it, their entire belief systems is destroyed.

I recommend reading The Secret Ceremony" by Deborah Laake.
Ceremonies is Deborah Laake's bizarre memoir of her evolution from a devout Mormon to a disenfranchised divorcee verging on a mental breakdown, and learning more about the untold aspects of Mormonism, especially from an ex-Mormon.

It sets forth many of the ceremonies, many of the beliefs, many of the false, misdirect ions that the Mormon 'faith' practices. Before the ‘excommunicated Mormon’ (branded as a witch) Deborah died, she related how Mormons were 'instructed' to steal her book from bookstores..to negate her information getting out.

Why does that remind me of Muslims’ justified teachings of 'lying to the infidels'?
