Most of us have had a Mormon Missionary knock at our door. If you have ever invited them in and listened to a presentation of their beliefs, you probably found most but not all of what they said very similar to those beliefs held by Christians. However, while trying to convince you that your Church is wrong and the Mormon Church is right, there are several points they intentionally leave out. Below is a list of Mormon beliefs the missionaries will be reluctant to tell you about: |

They will be reluctant to tell you that the God they worship was not always God. |

They will be reluctant to tell you that the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants, which they claim to be both sacred and without error, contradict each other many times. |

For example, in the Book of Mormon, God called David and Solomon's act of polygamy an abomination, whereas in the Doctrine and Covenants He claims to justify it. Jacob 2:24 in the Book of Mormon says, "Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord." Section 132:1 in the Doctrine and Covenants, however, states: "Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you my servant Joseph, that inasmuch as you have inquired of my hand to know and understand wherein I, the Lord, justified my servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as also Moses, David and Solomon, my servants, as touching the principle and doctrine of their having many wives and concubines." |

They will be reluctant to tell you that they use Christian terms with Mormon meanings. |

For example, a Mormon would probably agree with you that a person must be born again. To the Mormon, however, "born again" is a process which begins with water baptism. Another example are the words "salvation" and exaltation," which are synonymous in the Christian's mind. However, general salvation to the Mormon merely means the resurrection which everyone in the world will receive at death. Exaltation, or individual salvation, is the reward earned by the Mormon by following the laws of the Moron church. "Eternal Life" to the Mormon means Godhood. Regarding the word "scriptures," the Christian thinks of the Holy Bible while the Mormon could be thinking of not only the Bible but the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price as well. |

They won't want to tell you that in order to gain entrance into the highest form of Mormon heaven, the Celestial kingdom, you must accept Joseph Smith, Jr. as a prophet of god. Faith in Jesus alone, Mormonism teaches, will force you to spend eternity in a lower form of heaven. |

Tenth LDS President Joseph Fielding Smith stated in his book, doctrines of Salvation, that there is "No salvation without accepting Joseph Smith. The word "salvation," used in this context, must really mean "exaltation" because former Mormon apostle Bruce R. McConkie stated in his book Mormon Doctrine that general salvation is given to everyone regardless of belief. Personal salvation or exaltation to the highest form of Mormon heaven comes only by accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of god and by following the laws of the LDS church. |

They will be reluctant to tell you that their founder, Joseph Smith, Jr., made many false prophecies which, according to the Bible, would classify him as a false prophet rather than a true prophet of God. |

For instance, in 1835 Smith claimed that the Lord would again come in just 56 years. We would gather from this "prophecy" that Jesus Christ would again come to earth on or before 1891; no doubt Joseph Smith was incorrect (History of the church 2:182). In 1832 Joseph Smith claimed he had a revelation concerning the building of a temple in Independence, Missouri. According to section 84, verses 4 and 5, of the Doctrine and Covenants, he stated this "temple shall be reared in this generation. For verily this generation shall not pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it..." to this day the spot consecrated by Smith fails to be the sight of a great temple, but instead is covered with a well-kept lawn. In fact, the Mormon church does not even own the land. |

And loving thy neighbor also means not letting them go to Hell without telling them the truth. And the truth is, Mormonism is diametrically opposed to Christianity.
How much do you know about Mormon theology, or are you one of those who only care about your pocketbook, not the souls of others?
Are you implying that Jesus isn’t who He says He is, and that Mormons are evil?
Don’t forget that Joseph Smith claimed to be a ‘second mohammed’ and claimed that one day it would be ‘Joseph smith or the sword’. And then there were the Danites who DID do some beheadings.

You can call it "bashing", and you can call it whatever you want to call it. But questioning the beliefs of mormonism is quite logical...from a Christian point of view.
Call Christians liars?
Rather than criticize someone else’s beliefs and namecall or ask me how much I know about Mormonism, why don’t you persuade someone toward your beliefs? I don’t need to be persuaded. I gave up the manmade religious order a long time ago.
Mormons are LOST, MORMONISM is evil.
And Mormons believe in an entirely different Christ than Christians do, by their own leaders admission.
So I will take that as you don’t know anything about Mormonism. Got it.
I used to be Mormon, I criticize because they are lost and Mormonism is leading them to Hell. I criticize because they need to see that their own church lies to them. Many years ago a Christian loved me enough to criticize my Mormmonism, and that is what started me out of that cult and into the arms of Christ.
FYI, I gave up on ‘man made religious order’ a long time ago as well, when I left Mormonism. Not it is ALL about a relationship with Jesus Christ, not a ‘church’.
With Mormons it is all about the ‘chruch.
Mormon Missionary Deception Method:
1. Convince you of their sincerity
2. Trick you into expressing faith first in the Book of Mormon by praying and asking for a sign (this takes you off the objective ground of Biblical truth and puts you into subjective ground of feelings)
3. Convince you that the Bible has errors in its translation
4. Trick you into expressing faith in the prophet Joseph Smith
5. Trick you into expressing faith in the Restoration of the “Gospel” (see Galatians Chapter one)
6. Get you all the way into the baptismal font...

Mormonism. At this point, it is too late! You only have

Yes, it is part of their eschatology. That a time will come when you will either be Mormon or die, and their current belief is that all other churches but Mormonism is Satanic. They do believe that Mormonism will one day rule the planet, probably shortly after they get a Mormon is the White House (White Horse prophecy).
So, what’s your point? I’ve never belonged to the Mormon Church, what I know about it, is irrelevant to my Faith in God.

First off, Protestants which I am have no “traditions” that trump Scripture. I am of the Bible based Protestant variety. Secondly there is no error in the Bible and Satan is in the Bible. Satan is also called other names and this is no myth or translation error. A Rabbit will also confirm that.
A later fallen angel was called Lucifer when he was in heaven. He was beautiful, intelligent and the “chief” angel while in heaven. Like Eve, he decided he wanted to be god and have the attention and admiration other angels had for God. Lucifer made this knowm to God, refused to repent and was thrown out of heaven. One third of the angels followed him. See Isaiah 14:12-14 .
Satan has numerous names in the Bible such as Satan has the devil, Dragon, Serpent, Beelzebub, Abaddon, Apollyon, the Beast, Accuser, Advarsary, Angel of Light, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Anti-Christ, Bilial, Deceiver, Dragon, Enemy, Evil One, Father of Lies, god of this age, Lawless One, Murder, Ruler of Demons, Ruler of this World, Son of Perdition and on on.
Where do you see an error in called Satan the devil which is in the Bible?

I;m very confused at what the "error" is. I'm just curious. I've just never heard anyone call Satan a myth before.
Point is, if you were/are a Christian then you know you should be concerned with the souls of others.
I have known many people, including some here on FR, who thought Mormons were harmless until they started researching them.
I am commanded to counter false teachings as a Christian, and I am grateful that someone loved me enough to point out the errors of Mormonism to me.
I is sad that you are apparently too selfish to care about anyone else.
