Peter couldn’t comprehend some things hard to understand so there’s proof right there that his gift of the Holy Spirit was not as great as some others, including Paul, and looking back, as great as John the Baptist’s, of Elijah and of Elisha. If it had been, someone, especially Mark, would have made mention of it. He was one apostle, one pillar of 12, as the bible says. He was no Vicar of Christ’s on earth.
