It is a bad translation. It is possible to translate prosopos as “presence” in some contexts, but as applied to Christ it is pure nonsense, as He is present everywhere. The meaning of the passage is that St. Paul acts on the authority of Christ.

I make no claim whatsoever as being qualified to translate the word and meaning of old Greek documents and their many "slightly different" versions.
