The first quote makes it personal. The second expression is appropriate, even if its truth value might not be expressed.

And if I am debating with you and then turn around and say Cvengr’s group are white-hanky worshippers of a monkey god and are not Christians. Is that personal or not? (Of course it’s false — I may believe that your beliefs are flawed, but you are Christian, unlike the Unitarians and others on this thread)
