You confuse the true meaning of Christianity with the sanctified life of the believer. The former is the reason men are saved. The latter displays that salvation.

The New Covenant is the fact that the legalism of the Old Covenant of works does not save men because no man can keep the law perfectly. Instead, God has mercifully sent His Son to fulfill the law perfectly for those who cannot. Christ becomes the one-time, perfect offering for sin which no man is able to repay.

Because Rome does not live by the Scriptures, Rome dismisses the Scriptures.

Now we have it. That is why we do not consider the Reformed to be Christian.

You guys have departed so far from Christianity that I'm surprised that you still have a cross on your prayer barns. You guys cannot speak the Athenasian Creed with a straight face, much less the Nicene Creed. I'd replace the cross on the OPC churches with a Town Car limousine in preparation for the Rupture. Of course, you guys might have to fight in your dwindling and increasingly geriatric congregations over who gets the ride...

I wouldn't be so quick to laugh at God. Jesus, the Word, became incarnate to be our model of holiness. On the Mountain of the Transfiguration, God commanded: "Listen to him!”.

Jesus said: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me." "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me." and gave us the Beatitudes.

Jesus is the model for the Beatitudes and of the New Covenant: "Love one another as I have loved you." This love requires an honest offering of oneself after His example.

Those of us who believe in Beatitude and are on this "narrower" path encourage our brethren by example, and bear striking witness "that the world cannot be transfigured and offered to God without the spirit of the beatitudes. Some live their situation in the spirit of the Beatitudes, loving God and serving our neighbors as we would be served. Others choose a different path as Original Sin permits.

Do you agree that the Gospels and the Beatitudes are the most important part of the New Covenant? I assume you do, but please could you confirm?


The Church lives and breathes scripture and Tradition -- neither contradicting each other. At Mass each Sunday we read from the Old Testament, the Gospels, the Epistles and the rest of the New Testament, we sing psalms, we teach, we learn, we preach, we listen, we experience a personal relationship with Christ in the Eucharist, we remember with awe and trembling His sacrifice, we celebrate His life, we mourn His death and we rejoice at His resurrection and ascension into Heaven, we repeat our words of belief in God the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, the Triune God, God from God, light from light, True God from True God. This is The Church of Christ in His fullness, THIS is the One Holy Apostolic and Catholic Church, Christ's Church, protected by the Holy Spirit and keeping the faith as taught by Christ through His Apostles and their disciples and their disciples disciples.
