We've been through this kind of lying before. RC apologists can't argue from Scripture, so they rewrite other people's comments and then discuss those fictitious rewrites.

Let's recap for posterity.

METMOM: WHY is it so important that Mary would have been perpetually a virgin? Once she delivered Jesus, the prophecy was fulfilled, that a virgin would conceive and bear a son. After that, there was no necessity for her to remain a virgin.

DR. ECKLEBURG: Apparently Rome believes that in order to get people to believe in magic, they have to create not only magicians, but also their winsome assistants.

Got that? No one is questioning the virgin birth of Christ. But anyone who reads the Bible questions the blasphemous pagan errors Rome teaches regarding Mary and her "perpetual virginity;" her "co-mediator and co-redeemer" status; her "sinless" life and her "bodily assumption into heaven."

All blasphemous lies drawn from the pagan goddesses, Isis and Cybele.

Flee from it.

I wish you well on your job search. Fortunately I was old enough to retire when my entire department was outsourced in the early 90’s.

Why is it so important to others that she’s nobody? Why are they so threatened by Mary?

Why is it "paganism"? Is it because you don't believe God could have done it?

God could have created fairies and leprechauns to pay for our sins, but we have a good idea that He didn't because Scripture tells us otherwise.

God could have given Peter wings on his toes and knuckles so he could fly instead of walk, but we have a good idea He didn't because Scripture says nothing about that.

So to believe something exists because "God could have done it" is spurious reasoning and opens oneself to all kinds of fanciful error and blasphemous superstitions.

And I'm still not clear what you think is magic. Is the Virgin Birth "magic"?

lol. No, the Virgin Birth is NOT "magic." It is written in God's word and therefore it is true and factual.

Is sinlessness "magic"?

Sinlessness as regards Christ is truth because God's word tells us of Christ's sinlessness. Sinlessness concerning another human being is most certainly a fallacy and "magical" thinking because God's word tells us "all men are fallen" and "all men are sinners."

Including Mary.

Give up the magic and believe the word of God. It is sufficient to bring a man to saving faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Okay let's recap.

You just called me a liar. I'll let you in on a little secret, I'm GLAD you think I'm a liar because you and I don't share the same definition of truth and honesty. I don't want your respect. I don't want you to like me. What I want is for you to keep posting things the same way you always have.

The same reason it is important to non-Catholics to follow the teachings of Paul as opposed to the teachings of Christ.

Not one word of that passage mentions virginity.

Right, because young girls were taking so many other vows several thousand years ago.

The door of the RCC or the Republican door???

In the north, where I used to live, democrats have successfully capitalized on the (real or imagined) perception that WASP Republicans hate Catholics. Attempts to separate my vote from my Faith are not going to excite me to get out the vote on election day. I'll do my civic duty but I won't do it with any enthusiasm.

People who want the Catholic vote need to stop beating the Catholics who already practically vote the party line over the head with the Catholics who don't.
AND
The local radio preacher who keeps telling everyone that Catholics are idol worshiping heathens can just flat FORGET me voting for his handpicked candidate next month. I don't care how big the "R" after his name is, I'll write in "Caligula" before I vote for him. I'm a Catholic who votes Republican, not a Republican who keeps accidentally going to Mass.

Beyond that, if the GOP wants me to vote for their candidates instead of just against the democrats then the Republicans need to come up with someone worth voting for. McCain? Really? My gosh people, the democrats ran a radical first term senator and JOE BIDEN! A smurf and a potted plant could have won a race against that combination. When I saw that Biden was the VP nominee I laughed so hard I thought I was gonna pass out. I called people on the phone and we all laughed about how funny it was that the dems were running the great plagiarist in the number two spot, well I'm not laughing now.

Show us a reference of Hebrew girls taking a vow of virginity.

Assuming such happened is counter-intuitive. It defies human nature.

A vow of virginity was a pagan act of a woman bonding herself to an idol, and none of them ever remained virgin; they were temple prostitutes.
