The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
We used to have an entire ecclesiastical apparatus specifically for dealing with these kinds of issues but a bunch of people got their panties in a twist. What I wouldn't give for a good old fashioned Inquisition...
Well? We're gonna have to throw another Crusade to save Europe from the Muslims so why not go whole hog? It can be a twofer.
I'm no fan of the "Saint Factory" of the last pontificate either.
INDEED.
LOL.
I think the looming literal Armageddon in the not too distant future will take care of all such.
Pray that they receive an indwelling of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the message of Jesus in its complete truth. Then we can all unite and proclaim a true miracle while agreeing it has been proved beyond doubt. Praise Jesus.
Is this what you mean by civil discourse? By "not making it personal," “no flame-bait” or “flame wars”?

I think about the collapse of the Eastern Roman Empire, the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, the pandemic plagues, the Mongol Hordes, the first September 11 (1683), the World Wars and all the other catastrophes and calamities of human history... the people who suffered and died during those thought the world was ending and the Apocalypse was upon them. Certainly in my own lifetime it's been a constant clarion call that Armageddon is upon us. I used to come home from school and be terrified if my mother wasn't home because I'd had the Rapture banged into my head so totally that I was afraid I'd missed it... for about FIVE WHOLE YEARS. It's a wonder I'm not sitting in a corner drooling.
The boy has called wolf far too many times and the world is deadened to his cries. Armageddon may not come for a 1000 years, or even a million but we can be certain that for everyone alive now there will be a personal Apocalypse and it may not be accompanied by any warning whatsoever. And that is the event for which we must prepare.
If some of the people around here... or hereon as the case may be, find out what I did on Sunday they're gonna pop a vein. I'm praying for a miracle... we might even pull out the big guns and have us a FRCatholic novena.
I don't take offense. I just consider it further scientific proof that horses a$$es outnumber horses.
I UNDERSTAND THAT PERSPECTIVE.
At this point, I think it is so uninformed as to be a very clueless and ignorant perspective . . . nothing personal in my saying that to you, BTW.
I get tired of listing the dozens of reasons why this era and these later years of this era are so wholesale different from all the other eras . . .
and how maybe 3-4 Biblical cues MIGHT have been PARTIALLY SLIGHTLY true in the other eras whereas now
we have 100’s, even thousands of data points that are true as never have been true before.
Certainly all of us in certain types of congregations have had the rapture scare on finding no one home.
Now that’s a fitting gif!

It's directed to be personal, but the personal attacks don't bother me much. I almost completely ignore the sewage that pours forth from the bigots around here. And at least one lends a serious hand by posting in bizarro formats with florid, psychotic colors and fonts, so it's very easy to identify those posts and ignore them.
Which is likely good for the soul, since I have a sense of the demonic coming from those posts.
I'm much more offended when these ones trample on holy things. Attacking me is just attacking another sinner, and heck, I may actually be deserving of at least some of the abuse. But attacking Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, or attacking Mary, the Mother of God - that's real flame-bait. And it's demonic, as well. I pity the ones that are so ensnared by demons that they would do that.
I only flagged the obvious personal attacks because I'm just wonderin’ whether that's what the Religion Moderator had in mind by "not making it personal." LOL.

"I bought the encyclical."
The Encyclical was never for sale, it is available free on the Vatican website. We can therefore conclude that the rest of of the posting is equally bogus.

"Please be careful. There are a few on this forum, some who will follow from thread to thread with the sole intention to harass, who are quick to pin the label of "liar" on you and will not be satisfied with any level of proof."
And then again there are a few proven liars too. I've stopped pointing them out, refuting or otherwise engaging them because their lies are so very, very transparent (and we all know EXACTLY who I am talking about).

Motto:
Remember your lies.
There's more than one way of calling people liars.
Unless he offers you proof, you're not going to believe him? And just who are you to determine the validity of what he posted?
And if it doesn't meet your mettle, then what? Demand more proof from him? Endless demands for more and more proof to meet a never able to be satisfied standard?
For the record, I have little use for televangelists. I don’t trust any of them and have never believed that what I’ve seen on TV is legit.
That doesn’t mean however, that NONE of them are.
If roamer_1 says he got healed by prayer, I am not going to call him a liar by not believing him unless he meets some arbitrary, useless demands of proof that I conjured up to me that I couldn’t validate anyway.
And you couldn’t either if he provided them to you.
Wow. Catholic miracles are all valid but Pentecostal ones are not.
Who knew?
Rest assured all true Christian believers in Jesus will pray for you to obtain the Faith needed for eternal salvation. Perhaps we can have a reborn "Young Reggie" whose scales fall from the eyes as they did from Paul to see the saving graces of Jesus.
