Former Ctholic, as I recall. Poor guy.
I may have inappropriately referred to you as a bitter old **** in private a correspondence, but no one would consider that loony.
or ask questions and see how long you last
that post is making the thread about individual freepers and against the rules. It appears that some people do nothing but patrol for offenses
that is making the thread about an individual freeper
So her husband is a FReeper? Cool. Let’s say Mother T is one too, then we won’t have to read slander about her...
Yes, I think you are right.
My apologies.
I can do better than that.
I don’t patrol, however.
I just read posts and if I think I would like to respond, I do.
Ping
No. She has posted that he is a former Catholic. Not a FReeper.
She gave the information.
She gave the information.
Yes and a few days ago, another poster gave out information and regretted it. Everyone who responded was admonished by the RM. Is it now ok to attack a Protestant poster but not a Catholic one?
Sorry, I did not see the admonishment by the RM.
Ok folks, where’s the discussion?
I’ll throw out a question for anyone who cares to reply:
Would you believe in Jesus (in the biblical sense) if you were not rewarded with heaven for doing so? Why or why not?
It would be much more accurate to say, "Nonsense. We know exactly what Roman Catholics think because we tell them what they think every day."
I thought Catholics were taking over the world? With or without the muslims.
than the accusation in 6,745 is just more falsehood - amazing! ;)
Usually, my posts are filled with Scripture, Church Fathers and/or specifics. But thank you for confirming yet again that you got it wrong yet again.
Is it because you have no point other than to deride your Scriptural opposition with name-calling?
I have plenty of Scripture-generated opposition to the religions of man-generated crazies and opportunists that are the fruit of the Reformation. Thank you for noticing it. If you ever decide to convert to Christianity, I will do my best to help that journey. Hint: the swim across the Tiber or the journey East are not difficult once one decides to give up the diabolical religions of Reformation man.
Uh, oh... ALL "...men shall rise again with their bodies..."
What does ALL mean? Are their exceptions for those you (men) declare as "Saints"? Is there an exception for "Bodily Assumption" as declared by mere men?
The original Catholic Creeds:
1. I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
2. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
3. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
4. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
5. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.
6. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
7. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
8. I believe in the Holy Spirit,
9. the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints,
10. the forgiveness of sins, 11. the resurrection of the body,
12. and life everlasting. Amen.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
It means that we will all be resurrected. The Nicene Creed is the Creed professed by all nominal Christians; the Apostles' Creed dates back to the second century. I am not aware of exceptions.
I doubt it about Ted. I recently posted from Luke 6 about works. If you like, I can post it again.
