The ultimate intention of Catholicism is the restoration of the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been the ambition, at least covertly, but now it is being promoted overtly and openly.
The purpose of this article is only to make that intention clear. It is not a criticism of Catholics or Catholicism (unless you happen to think a Catholic dictatorship is not a good thing).
The most important point is to understand that when a Catholic talks about liberty or freedom, it is not individual liberty that is meant, not the freedom to live one's life as a responsible individual with the freedom to believe as one chooses, not the freedom to pursue happiness, not the freedom to produce and keep what one has produced as their property. What Catholicism means by freedom, is freedom to be a Catholic, in obedience to the dictates of Rome.
The Intentions Made Plain
The following is from the book Revolution and Counter-Revolution:
"B. Catholic Culture and Civilization
"Therefore, the ideal of the Counter-Revolution is to restore and promote Catholic culture and civilization. This theme would not be sufficiently enunciated if it did not contain a definition of what we understand by Catholic culture and Catholic civilization. We realize that the terms civilization and culture are used in many different senses. Obviously, it is not our intention here to take a position on a question of terminology. We limit ourselves to using these words as relatively precise labels to indicate certain realities. We are more concerned with providing a sound idea of these realities than with debating terminology.
"A soul in the state of grace possesses all virtues to a greater or lesser degree. Illuminated by faith, it has the elements to form the only true vision of the universe.
"The fundamental element of Catholic culture is the vision of the universe elaborated according to the doctrine of the Church. This culture includes not only the learning, that is, the possession of the information needed for such an elaboration, but also the analysis and coordination of this information according to Catholic doctrine. This culture is not restricted to the theological, philosophical, or scientific field, but encompasses the breadth of human knowledge; it is reflected in the arts and implies the affirmation of values that permeate all aspects of life.
"Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church.
|
Got that? "Catholic civilization is the structuring of all human relations, of all human institutions, and of the State itself according to the doctrine of the Church." The other name for this is called "totalitarianism," the complete rule of every aspect of life.
This book and WEB sites like that where it is found are spreading like wildfire. These people do not believe the hope of America is the restoration of the liberties the founders sought to guarantee, these people believe the only hope for America is Fatima. Really!
In Their Own Words
The following is from the site, "RealCatholicTV." It is a plain call for a "benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch;" their own words. They even suggest that when the "Lord's Payer," is recited, it is just such a Catholic dictatorship that is being prayed for.

First, in this country, freedom of speech means that anyone may express any view no matter how much anyone else disagrees with that view, or is offended by it. I totally defend that meaning of freedom of speech.
This is what Catholics believe, and quite frankly, I do not see how any consistent Catholic could disagree with it, though I suspect some may. I have no objection to their promoting those views, because it is what they believe. Quite frankly I am delighted they are expressing them openly. For one thing, it makes it much easier to understand Catholic dialog, and what they mean by the words they use.
Secondly, I think if their views were actually implemented, it would mean the end true freedom, of course, but I do not believe there is any such danger.
Born again believers have only accepted their own prideful sinful self serving interpretation of scripture. These born again hypocrites have Jesus on their lips but not in their heart. They would do well to read Mt 7:21
The Pope seems to believe Born Again Christians (prots) are separated brethren. Do you have it on higher authority that we will be damned?
It must be nice to see the hearts of believers and know who the hypocrites are.
It would bode well for these born again hypocrites to read MK 8:15 or PS 1i5 5:7 or PS 135:16.
Why would YOU quote verses condemning graven images?
At the final judgment will Jesus, when addressing these born again hypocrites, utter the same destiny for them as He did for Judas in MT 26:24? Terrible outcome for these born again unless some repentance is evidenced.
Sounds like you have been missinformed.
Born Again Christians believe In Acts 2:38. We acknowledge that we are sinners before a Holy God.
We acknowledge that we cannot save ourselves. Our self righteous acts are but filthy rags before a perfect God.
God sent His son to be a ransom, to pay for our sin, to do for us we could never do for ouselves.
We repent from our sinfull ways and believe that Christ paid our penalty in full on the cross for our sin, a perfect sacrifice accepted by God who Raised Him from the dead.
We believe that those who plead to God for salvation and trust, rely, accept only in Jesus's complete sacrifice and ressurection will be saved.
Those who have believed in Jesus as LORD and Savior must follow Him proclaiming the Gospel of Grace and seek after holiness in obedience and Love to Him who Saved us.
Truth - 1
Rome - 0
There is a God.
And just because there were other groups who didn't want him there, either, does not negate the fact that thousands of Anglicans protested Ratzinger's appearance at Westminster.
It would be well for you to accept Jesus as your savior!!
What does "accept Jesus as your savior", actually mean for you as a Catholic?
Can you show me documentation on the claim thousands of Anglicans protested the Pope’s presence at Westminster?
Were they there in person or did they send letters of protest or did they sign petitions?
Perhaps you could explain what you mean by that?
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Once again the focus is on the MESSAGE . REMEMBER Jn 6 65:66
Accept Jesus and reject the allure of Satan and his crowds
Do your own homework.
I read the news reports. So can you.
Oh, indeed.
How many Roman Catholics does Rome boast of again?
Your hew and cry of “racism” is invalid.
Just more shouting down of the messenger.
Because if your excerpt is “racist,” then Newt Gingrich’s recent comments about Obama’s “colonial mentality” are equally “racist.”
Which they weren’t.
Unfortunately, as a review of posting histories will confirm, some anti-Catholic FReepers find telling the truth unnecessarily constraining when attempting to bash or belittle the Church.
Repentance like John the Baptist comes before acceptance of Jesus as your savior.
You want to "ban lies???" Who arbitrates what idea is or is not a lie? Rome?
Good luck with that one.
Inquisition, here we come.
Unfortunately it appears the only standard you apply is that the story agree with your preconceived notion and prejudice. If the story satisfies this, the source and its reputation for truthfulness is inconsequential. All other sources, including the words of Christ and the Burning Bush are put off as Romanist Propaganda.
I mean, really, who are you going to believe, Dr. E or your own lying eyes?
Perhaps Dr. E doesn't understand what prejudice and racism really are. After all, the attitudes of the OPC toward the unelect are really no different at all from what Austen preaches against Africans. (Does anyone know how many, if any, Black OPCers there are?)
Unfortunately for you God does.
What say you?
“I read the news reports. So can you.”
I learned in the school of hard experience how unreliable news reports can be; it certainly depends on what news source, and whether that source is agenda-driven and/or “owned”.
In his encyclical “Atheistic Communism” by Pope Pius IX, written in the late 1930’s, he warned us about the complicity of the “fourth estate”. (He also warned us, even then, about the feminist movement)
Years of pro-life work and also waging war against terrible sex education in the public schools, and the effort to de-throne some of the miserable school board members was a great teacher for me about the questionable veracity of “news reports”.
I agree with you, wagglebee, that it was the moral issues that brought out the protesters in Great Britain. This is exactly what people like me encountered in our pro-life work, our city council meetings about the huge grants of city funds given to Planned Parenthood, about the damaging programs in the public schools. We knew who our adversaries were—including the local press.
People came to see the Pope. Thank God.
He was shown great courtesy. Thank God
No harm was done to him. Thank God.
Hank got the zot....
The pope is infallible, except when he’s not.
