That’s weird. The local group encourages non-mormon kids to join their scouting if they want.

Of course, every organization’s different. You really need to look around to find the scouting troop that really matches with what your kid wants and needs. We got into the wrong troop for a while, and now we are in a good troop that my son really likes.

Of course they do! This was simply one of their initial step in their "rebranding."

Have you ever heard about the Mormon baseball baptisms? Scouting is used in a similar way.

Simple recruitment tool to find converts to mormonism. Wonder how many of those boys advance in leadership positions without being mormon?
