Metmom - I seem to have missed your ping. Sorry to hear that you can’t even get the test done! I hope that everything works out so you can at least get the definitive test done and then get a good protocol and feel much improved.
More prayers for your well being plus a big hug!

NYS has approved this test for me for this one time!
I’d need to get approval every time the test is run, but this is a big first step.
Thanks for your prayers for this.
Still looking for that passport.....

I’m relieved to hear that you finally have some direction in all of this. One of my sisters has been ill for a very long time. I forwarded a Wiki article regarding this disease to her daughter, as she doesn’t use email.
More prayers are on the way. Please keep us posted, friend.

Let me know if that’s what she’s got if you find out.
I just talked to an old friend today who I haven’t talked to in a long time, who has had very similar problems to me with food and allergies and I was telling her about it and she has all the symptoms as well, which I suspected.
It seems that very generalized unexplained, and unexplainable, food allergy type problems tend to be a common factor in this.
I sent her a bunch of links and encouraged her to get evaluated for it.

I’ll let you know if I hear from her. The last time I talked to her she thought that she had celiac disease.
I think most of us thought she was a hypochondriac, but with time and increasing knowledge about our bodies and how they function, it seems that what appeared to be hypochondria may well be chronic illness. I really regret that.

A thought for you ~ the local Moslems love lamb and young goat. They slaughter and cook them within hours so there's no aging going on at those halal butcher shops.
Now you might not have a Moslem butcher shop close by, but I've found that the Moslem butchers in this community as well as the traditional Middle Eastern candy makers have gone to pains to figure out how to SHIP STUFF ~ doing their own freezing and packing.
I'll see if any of these guys are shipping lamb (once they let me out of the house). (NOTE: I think we still have 5 halal butcher shops around here, may be 6 now ~ new Pak store opened and they usually rent out the back to the butcher).
