Metmom has had allergies and food allergies her entire life. In the last few years they have gotten steadily and progressively worse. Foods have been dropping out of her diet until she reached the point she is at now and can only eat rice, chicken, lamb, and venison. Anything else causes her to react rather destructively, debilitatingly.
The problem is that the repeated continual exposure to the few remaining foods, could lead to a sensitivity to those as well, which has just happened to two foods she had been safely eating since October.
There are options for nutrition should she start to react to all foods, but they are used only in the most dire situations. She's concerned about reaching that point--and frankly has been feeling more than a little discouraged by all such.
She has undergone extensive medical testing which has all been inconclusive. Almost everything comes back normal or negative, and the few things that she does test positive for aren’t what causes her the most problems.
She is attempting to get into a regional medical center for more specialized medical evaluation to see if they can determine the cause and possible treatment, if any exists.
She has been prayed for and anointed numerous times over the years, however, she would appreciated continued prayer for complete healing.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND HER PLIGHT with as much empathy as you can. She's been through a 1,001 suggestions and tried a LOT of different things. She's been through the Henry Wright seminar and prayers extensively. I don't think she is quite up to handling any more suggestions currently. Those who've been through such can understand such a feeling. She just greatly would appreciate your understanding and PARTICULARLY YOUR CARING PRAYERS.
This summary is per my understanding and might be stated somewhat differently were she writing it herself. I believe she'd affirm the truth of what I've said but these are essentially my words.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this guy, Henry Wright.
He does a lot of teaching about the spiritual roots of disease and it’s pretty non-denominational. He doesn’t get into doctrinal differences that I recall.
This link is to an online conference that he offers for free. There are ten one half hour long clips that you can listen to as you have the time.
He has a style unique to himself. You do have to get past that at times. There are some things that he’s said that I’m still not sure where I stand on it. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING he teaches, but I think that for the most part, he’s right on.

Metmom is plenty miserable with her condition.
We try to keep miserable tweaky posts off of prayer threads—the threads usually involve plenty of misery without adding tweaky comments.
I began to have allegories big time. Everyone in my familiy has terrible allegories. I could not breathe in the Spring, my favorite time of the year.
To make a long story short, I prayed to the love of my life and existence, Jesus. I got a word. “I made nothing that has power over you just as nothting in creation has power over me.” I took that into my soul as I was praying for healing at the time and I was totally open to Him.
All symptoms of allegories left me from that point on and never to return.
One thing I forgot to say: As John said at the beginning: “things were made that were not made.” The power of allegories is one of those things that was made that was not made.
PRAISE GOD.
Have experienced some of that healing. Not 100%.
How to apply those principles . . . truths . . .
Sometimes it seems or feels very frustrating when we do all we know to do to apply such with limited results.

I know that. I’ve listened to Henry Wright’s seminar’s several times. I don’t know if you’re familiar with him.

I suggest metmom to not accept allegories as her fate nor with innate power over her. If it has power over Jesus and she whom He loves and created then it is “real” or “permanent.” The first truth is...seeking the truth about who she is...Whom she was created by. He did not make junk subject of b.s. created by the dark side through man.
The way I see it is that the truth set me free from allegories. I hope it sets Metmom free too but somehow it seems I needed Jesus to command or assert it for me while in prayer. It goes into the cells of my body when that happens. Everything hums.
I had breat cancer that was healed through the usual methods but I know Jesus carried me through it all because I can not even remember it. I have to ask my husband what happened. I have no excuse to be alive; it was very bad. I remember the beginning of doctor doom, but not anything after a night of being with Jesus. When I prayed to Him about it, it is like He took over. I was perfectly happy to give the wheel over to Him. At the same time I had no fear...I would have been fine to join Him if that was His destination for me. But not my kids and my husband...He loves them even more than I love them. That is A LOT!
That is all I know about healing, Quix. I have not been sick much in my life. I don’t understand it beyond understanding the power of Jesus over all creation - “and it was good.” That includes me, you and metmom. He is all powerful.

Well Metmom...just you keep walking...somebody has to have the answers. I know you have suffered with this so very long but there just must be someone who can zero right in and find out what’s causing this.

Good thing you don’t need arguments from me Quix. I am a down to the raw basics kinda Christian as I move through life with Jesus. I never wanted to mess with that.

There are many things in life we do not have the answers for and which leave us confounded as we attempt to resolve them. Metmom faces, and has for many years, this problem with food which seems thus far to not have a solution....... But you are God Lord...you know what the solution might be. So when she is in Boston, and even before she arrives, we do ask that you place those who can uncover just what is at the root of this condition. That eyes and minds would see and understand...and that you yourself would move thru them to pinpoint the source of what is causing her reactions to foods. Thank you for your concerns for her and bringing her this far Lord, she has been a blessing to many. In Christ’s name we ask this....Amen.
