OneVike has been a Freeper since early 1998, and it seems he is having some medical troubles. I know OV from before I joined FreeRepublic, in fact he is the one who turned me onto FR. I have not regretted the day I joined, and I have many new friends I would not have had if it were not for him getting me to join. OV has never been one to worry about his own troubles much, instead he is usually asking others to pray for his paraplegic wife who has had her share of troubles.
I found out that he is suffering from some sort of nerve problem that has made it impossible for him to concentrate or even use a keyboard. I guess it's an old injury from the accident he and his wife were in 22 years ago that put her in a wheelchair. I talked to him on the phone and he is not sure when he will heal.
The doctors say they cannot do anything for him because he has arthritis that has set into his neck from a childhood illness that was aggravated even worse by the accident in "87". He was told when the inflammation goes down they might be able to help, but as long as it's inflamed there isn't much they can do. They have him on pain killers but he says they really only take the edge off. He doesn't sleep good at night and is finding difficult to even do the things he normally does for his wife.
I read some comments to an article he wrote on his blog called PUP where he explained some of his problems why he has not posted but a few articles this Month and while there is some support for him with prayers, quite a few are leaving hateful comments about his troubles. Saying things like God is doing it to him because he is a bigot, and they hope he never recovers to write again.
Well, I am asking you all to pray for OV, and maybe let those hateful liberals who are leaving mean spirited and evil comments on his site know what you think.

Freepers come to you now on behalf of this man suffering Lord. You know what suffering is all about and there is nothing he faces you have not also felt, so he is able to identify with you thru his pain.... So with this we ask you for relief and more importantly medical personnel who can see what perhaps others have not yet seen which might bring more than a temporary ease. You have the answers and we ask you provide those who can give it Lord.
Meanwhile we think of his wife...and pray also for her for you know her plight well. And in all this we thank you ahead of the answers... for it is we who meet you along the way to all recovery..... In Christ’s name and in Him we pray....Amen

In the darkness and silence of the middle of the night I come before You to lift up our FRiend OneVike.
As surely as light will soon dawn, Your healing power is already on its way to OneVike’s every need.
You are the Author of all creation, and of every fiber of OneVike’s being.
For Your purposes, Lord God, use OneVike as You will and bring a testimony of Your power, mercy, comfort and unfathomable peace to Your servant OneVike and his dear wife.
May Your mysterious and miraculous transformation glorify Your Name in the life and witness of OneVike.

One Vike, I pray that God will ease your pain and give you comfort. You should not worry about ‘thanking’ us, I doubt anyone here would expect that of you when it causes you more pain.
