Well then, thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ for such a man.
The groups should oppose all forms of birth control from contraceptives to abortion as The Church does. Accepting one puts on on the slippery slope to the partial birth abomination. And, once more -- praise be to God for the man you said prays outside abortion Clinics for their conversion

Well, the Pope did say his flock and Islam serve the same God. And, then add, we read THE BOOK!

Really? And yet you did. Sad.

you evidently didn't read the whole post -- excerpting doesn't help, you know, not while reading The Bible, nor while reading a mundane post
Christs bloody sacrifice on Calvary took place once, and it will never be repeated. To repeat his sacrifice would be to imply that the original offering was defective or insufficient, like the animal sacrifices of the Old Testament that could never take away sins. Jesus offering was perfect, efficacious, and eternal.
Jesus is eternally a priest, and a priests very nature is to offer sacrifice. In the case of Christ, the eternal sacrifice that he offers is himself. This is why he appears in the book of Revelation as a lamb, standing as though he had been slain (Rev. 5:6). He appears in heaven in the state of a victim not because he still needs to suffer but because for all eternity he re-presents himself to God appealing to the work of the cross, interceding for us (Rom 8:34), and bringing the graces of Calvary to us.
The Mass is a participation in this one heavenly offering. The risen Christ becomes present on the altar and offers himself to God as a living sacrifice. Like the Mass, Christ words at the Last Supper are words of sacrifice, "This is my body . . . this is my blood . . . given up for you." So, the Mass is not repeating the murder of Jesus, but is taking part in what never ends: the offering of Christ to the Father for our sake (Heb 7:25, 9:24). After all, if Calvary didnt get the job done, then the Mass wont help. It is precisely because the death of Christ was sufficient that the Mass is celebrated. It does not add to or take away from the work of Christit is the work of Christ.
Isnt it glorious the Sacrifice is done, once and for all, the Eucharist is where we experience this once and for all time sacrifice. Its the Real Presence! Where you experience the personal relationship with Christ in the Eucharist! Beautiful isnt it, being in communion with the Lord in the Lords One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church?
Let me amend this to
Its a common mistake to equate sacrifice always with death in this time. To understand the sacrifice of the Mass, it is essential that one understand the biblical picture of a sacrifice: It is always a gift; it is not always a killin. This is why Scripture can speak of a sacrifice of praise (Hos. 4:12) and the sacrifice of thanksgiving (Ps. 50:14).

No, because Luke took his material from earlier gospels. the Farrer hypothesis hypothesizes that Matthew borrowed material only from Mark, and that Luke wrote last, using both earlier Synoptic gospels.

Yep. God is the only Father, Jesus is the only Master and everyone else is brethren. There are NO ‘religious hierarchy’ in HIS CHURCH.
To: roamer_1; vladimir998
Here in Poland, the Poles call their priest "Ksiąz" which does not translate as father in any way.
The whole passage reads, "But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ" (Matt. 23:810).
Rabbi = teacher. And yet Paul says "his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers" (Eph. 4:11).
And, when you call someone Teacher -- are you incorrect? When you call some a PhD or Doctor in Theology, are you incorrect? Doctor (gen.: doctoris) means teacher in Latin and is an agent noun derived from the verb docere ('teach').

On the Contrary, The Church has found common grounds with the Traditional Anglican Church, we have initiated communion with the Anglo-Lutheran Church and are talking to the Lutheran Augusburg Church. We will keep communicating with Traditional, conservative groups that maintain orthodoxy. But we won’t talk to non-Christian groups like seventh day adventists and the fringe “ewangelical” groups

You forgot to add in those who pretend to talk in tongues but just mouth gibberish. Those who DO talk in tongues don’t go about blabbering nonsense about alien abductions in multi-colored gibberish

"It is to be expected... And that will add to their boastings of size and strength."They call me (I guess they call us) "Clueless."
But at age 54 and after 33 years directly in the labors, I have yet to have the first RC approach me with interest in my soul.
What I am talking about is common people (not web sites, etc.) who are neighbors, or colleagues, etc., who are RC, actually attempting to talk with me about my need of Christ (not even my need of Mary, if that is so important to them), with any burden for me as an individual.
Not even my own RC aunts, uncles, and cousins have tried to convince me of any "virtues" of being "Catholic." I was a prime target in my earlier years, and my own dad, at that time an RC, would have defended any of their attempts had they made them.
Then my dad crossed the Tiber in the other direction in 1975, called me at my Air Force barracks where I was stationed, to tell me that he had the previous day become a Christian. Dad meant that he had believed the Gospel of the Grace of God, and had been born again by the Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ as his sin-bearer and only hope of eternal life."
My own dad then witnessed to me of saving grace in Jesus Christ. I was saved about 18 months later.

If you can’t understand - not by works - there is no teaching you anything. Ask your mother church.

You mean to say that Sister Aimee did not juggle snakes or have any firewalking exhibitions?

"Well, the Pope did say his flock and Islam serve the same God. And, then add, we read THE BOOK!"According to one recent post, they won't talk to "fringe evangelical" groups. I think they use that time in "dialogue" with Muslims.

I don't think he knows Whom he is scoffing at...
oh, we under the protection of the Holy Spirit in Our Lord Jesus Christ's One Holy Apostolic Catholic Church fear no devil who the snake handling fireworshippers may worship.
Come, come to Christ. Experience a personal relationship with Him in the Eucharist. Hear the Word of God, the entire word -- OT, Gospels, Psalms, Epistles, Revelation, you can hear the entire Word during mass while you experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and you are blessed by the Holy Spirit

So, do you teach Spirit-slaying,” spiritual warfare/demon-deliverance, tongues-speaking, signs & wonders evangelism, extra-revelatory prophecy?
