To: Recovering Ex-hippie
Yup...this sounds so missing parts in so many areas...i am vey skeptical..but, it probably is wildly popular with those Protestants who believe only THEIR way is true to God’s word.

Catholics believe that THEIR only way is true to God's word. So what is it about that that you're criticizing?

Well, Catholics are right...theirs was the orginal ‘church’..after that the rest were offshoots, Calvin, Luther, the Baptists...etc, etc.

As for true to scripture...Looks like Catholics are right again...Jesus said, “Take this bread. This is my body. Drink this wine, this is my blood.”

That is the Catholic ‘transubstantiation” concept which NO other christian religions have...Pretty faithful to scripture...Jesus didn’t say” this wine is a symbol of my blood, “ or “ this wine is sort of Like my blood.”

That’s the whole point of the Last supper, the whole point of the mystery of the Risen Christ.
