The Catholic Church tells us there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church.

See Dominus Iesus and the Catechism.

If you are baptized (I did NOT say "only if") you are in the Catholic Church, in our view.

yet no one from the Church tells us the truth about what she believes?

I don't understand this. We publish the catechism. Anyone can get the encyclicals. How are we not saying what we believe? I don't have to show Catholic ID to get a copy of Veritatis Splendor or Fides et Ratio, or whatever. If it's hidden, it's hidden in plain sight. Heck we have classes for enquirers and classes every Sunday and many weekday evenings. The entire Summa Theologia of Thomas Aquinas is online. What are we concealing or lying about?

So, what's left to come together on, exactly? You have a faith that will NOT be moved. We have a faith that will NOT be moved.

Then what are we doing here. It seems that if you are right, all that's left is to yell at each other.

Because I am a former Protestant Clergy D00d I get a monthly newsletter from a group of Protestant clergy who gave up their livelihood because their minds and hearts were changed.

And in many of the "stories" the change was the result of much study as well as prayer. So there is a rational or an intellectual aspect to this.

I know there is a great cultural as well and doctrinal difference in our attitudes toward reason. And maybe that accounts for part of the problem.

But certainly when I read someone saying that we say you have to be Catholic to be saved, I KNOW that another part of the problem is that an assessment of what we teach has been made on the basis of a compilation and interpretation presented by people who are hostile to Catholicism. So people are against us not on the basis of what we believe, but of what they think we believe.

I'm too tired to think much more. GOod night.

Disingenuous...You know as well as we do that (at least) one of your former popes made the official claim that there is no salvation outside of your religion...

And from everything Catholic WE have read, THAT position can not be changed...But of course it can be watered down, as it has been...

But no, people aren't against any Catholic for what we think you believe...It's what you say, and what you do that some of us are against, including God...

Many of you say you don't pray to Mary and that's been proven wrong so many times it's outrageous to continue to make that claim...

You guys say you don't worship Mary but one only has to look at what you do to know that you do worship Mary...Maybe many of you don't believe you worship Mary but that would have to be because your religion has skewed the meaning of worship and you guys fall for it...

As far as salvation is concerned, the latest thing your religion has cooked up is that there is salvation outside of your church for those who don't know that salvation is thru your religion...But for those who reject your religion, salvation is impossible...

We don't buy it...God doesn't buy it as far as He says so in the scriptures...
