I couldn’t begin to afford implants.

I have one.

My top two incisors had worn down quite a lot over the years and I had caps put on them.

About two years later, the left one just snapped off! I wasn't chewing on anything hard at the time either.

It was either a bridge, or an implant. (or look like a Hoosier goober!)

I did NOT want to fiddle around with a bridge so I chose the implant - the cost was similar.

The grandkids were REALLY interested in the thing, but older folks seem to cringe away.

It took about a month to finally ignore the feeling it produced. Our regular teeth have a thin layer of flesh material between the root and the bone which gives slightly with pressure. (Go ahead; you CAN move your teeth a bit! ;^)

The implant is FIRMLY secured - fused - to the bone and does NOT move!

It looks just like my other tooth with the cap and works just fine.

Congrats.

I think the cost here was about $1,000/per tooth
