That is the first truly accurate thing you have said.
Witnessing is a wholly different animal than defending the faith from slander and lies as well as going about the business of cult breaking.
Satan's grip has to be broken first by the exposure of false doctrine and the actions of the enablers of evil and the veil of those taken in by such ripped away before any try at witnessing can begin.
We are not talking about those simply seeking the truth, but those either willfully supporting the enterprises of the Evil One or those so taken in by their schemes that breaking free often requires extreme effort.
That you do not understand such is not surprising but of little consequence in the overall battles in the on going spiritual warfare we find ourselves in the midst of. That there are some modern American Christians who fail to understand that the call to defend the faith and attack evil in all its forms is as equally as important as is witnessing to the lost seekers is surprising as well.
Why thank you. It must be the first time you've actually listened instead of stopping to marvel at your own remarks. I've not in the past few years ever commented, disagreed or agreed with yours or anyone else's theology. My comments have only been directed at those who don't seem to behave as they proclaim. For example, Elsie.
“Satan’s grip has to be broken first by the exposure of false doctrine and the actions of the enablers of evil and the veil of those taken in by such ripped away before any try at witnessing can begin.”
This reminds me of the time I invited my deaf friend to attend services at the Pentecostal Church of God (Kentwood Family Church) in Kent WA. All of a sudden all attention turned to my deaf friend and they were surrounding her, screaming, yelling, and demanding that Satan loose his grip on her. They were yelling “We rebuke you Satan; come out of her!!!” She was not possessed; she was, and remains, just deaf. She was humiliated, frightened, and confused.
At that point, I started wondering what the heck I was doing in a church like that. No offense to pentecostals. By the way, since becoming a Mormon,I have never witnessed any such horrible spectacle, not even close. Rather, members of the LDS Church tend to be loving, forgiving, accepting, and caring.
My point is that your point is not well taken by me since apparently it is directed to us evil devil-possessed Mormons you have read about endlessly on this very site.
I have said over and over again that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and I love Him with all my heart. He is my life saver.
But I am not believed. Instead, I am lectured about what posters THINK I believe and they absolutely refuse to believe me when I tell them what I believe. I have posted the LDS Articles of Faith which list the beliefs of my faith but to no avail.
And yes I have been offended and hurt by the horrible accusations and condemnations I and my Mormon friends have endured on this site. The reason I keep coming back (until it becomes hopelessly a waste of my time) is that I don’t want casual readers to leave with the idea that Mormons are really like what the anti Mormons post here.
Thank you.
