Hey, you know, the most vehement Catholic supporters on FR have been proved to have their Catholic theology wrong. We ex-Catholics have been telling them what the Catholic church really teaches and all the while they’ve been denying it, a thread has been recently posted that clearly demonstrates that we ex-Catholics are correct.

This site here shows it....

So, considering how much they’ve gotten wrong, I will defer on taking them on their word about Catholic doctrine.

INDEED TO THE MAX.

Ah well. We’ve shown repeatedly hereon that the Vatican umbrella includes a multitude of contradictory assertions. And they are skilled at clinging to and heralding which ever one will most protect THE INSTITUTION at the time!

And then they have the cheek to pretend that we should consider anything they do as honest and THE TRUTH about reality. What unmitigated balderdash!

If they had a shred of insight, or theological integrity they’d run from such dishonest duplicitous double-standard hogwash.

Perhaps someone on our side will bother to repost the OP so we can hold forth on it in an open thread. That would be useful to the lurkers.

I really like this one...

7. There Is No Salvation Outside Of The Catholic Church – Originally stated by St. Cyprian, the Latin axiom “Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus” reminds us that there is no salvation outside of the Catholic Church. This dogma was declared at the Fourth Lateran Council and is a source of confusion for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. According to the Catechism, all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is His Body.

Their catechism is lying to them...They are lying about what Jesus said...

Jesus says you are added to the church AFTER you are saved...The church has no role to play in Salvation...

It does not mean that non-Catholics cannot achieve salvation. Individuals who are unaware that the Catholic Church is the one, true Church may still achieve salvation through the merits of the Church, despite their lack of knowledge.

This is not what they originally said...They originally said those who reject the Catholic Church are also exempt from Salvation...

Right out of the pit of Hell...Hopefully we can reach some of these people before the Rapture of the real church...God is going to deal with those folks just as he says He will in Revelation 17...

One need only look at one such example at the site to see the writer is just regurgitating the same old false doctrines.

“4. The Mass Is The Same Sacrifice As Calvary – The biggest mistake that many Catholics make is treating the Holy Mass as “just another church service”, similar to those held by other religions. In the Mass, Christ’s Sacrifice on the Cross is made present, its memory is celebrated and its saving power is applied. The Council of Trent teaches that Christ left a visible sacrifice to His Church “in which that bloody sacrifice which was once offered on the Cross should be made present, its memory preserved to the end of the world, and its salvation-bringing power applied to the forgiveness of the sins which are daily committed by us.” When we attend Mass, we are mystically transported to Calvary, where we can unite ourselves with the Lord’s Sacrifice to the Father!”

Hebrews 10:10-14 show there was one sacrifice offered once for all time. It doesn’t need renewal and those that have fallen away and cannot be revived to repentance are trying to impale Christ anew for their sins and expose him to public shame.
(Heb. 6:4-6)

“When we attend Mass, we are mystically transported to Calvary, where we can unite ourselves with the Lord’s Sacrifice to the Father!”

They’re a couple of thousand years late on the Mystical Tour Bus, that’s why Christ said to do “this in remembrance of me” not “keep doing this to me”.

Christ appeared in heaven on our behalf and doesn’t need his blood offered year after year or day after day so he’s not “present” in the bread and wine at all. (Heb. 9:23-28).
