Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God. Dawg, we are all imperfect “cracked” vessels ...but it is not the vessel that saves..it is what drips out
The Gospel, even in-artfully delivered or even harshly delivered will still save..because it is the gospel that saved when empowered by the Holy Spirit

I think of John Edwards “Sinners in the hands of an angry God” ..hard hitting , hard to hear ..yet it led to the great revival.. people were offended.. yet many were saved.

There is a basic theological difference in the way we view this.. I do not think man can hinder a work of God..and I believe that it is the Spirit of God that draws..not MY outstanding ..cheerful personality ..(that is a LOL)

WELL PUT.

THX.

If "Prevaricate/prevarication" was a rare character trait of Mormons, I don't think we'd see a common Google association, now would we?

You can judge the truth by counting Google hits? Who knew?

If that is the best you have to offer, I think it is time to go to bed.

At least it your acronym is a clever creative effort at communicating your values.

IF

Proddys wanted to take offense, it is easily very offensive because it’s horribly inaccurate and another example of RC’s gross double standard hogwash.

However, I prefer to think of it as humorously and grossly inaccurate rather than take huffy offense.

Indeed. What a shame really. I feel bad for all the anger they have on a daily basis. It must be miserable.

Google hits can provide hints that where there's a LOT of smoke, there's plenty of fire.

I told you last post that it's up to individuals who google that to check out that smoke. But I'll tell you what: I'll post one of those "fiery" sources tomorrow for you. (In fact it'll likely be the source that introduced me to that word...just need to track it down)

That wonderful goal [being an encourager] has always stuck with me. It would be great if the same could be said of all of us.

Oh but all of you are encouragers.

This reply for instance is an encouragement to me, dear sister in Christ, and I thank you for it!

No sweat.

Your 368 mentioned compiling a list of epithets you’d been called and the list growing huge rapidly.

It can be easy to blame such 100% on the other end of things.

Usually there are lots of reasons for labels and labeling.

They are ALMOST always at least a little on both ends and plenty in the middle. Certainly it can be 95-99% on one end and in some relationships almost always so. Still, there’s often at least a little truth from the opposite perspective’s uhhhhh perspective.

I had fantasies of getting the dentist to try a different structure for the base of the implants.

1st to wound the bones where the implant bases would go.

Then put a sort of rigid bit of mesh structure for the implant to screw into down in the bone for the bone to regrow into as well as around.

That was because I understand that one of the drawbacks of implants is that they don’t do well with lateral stresses.

Anyway—just more of my fantasies! LOL.

Congrats on great implants.

INDEED.

Well put.

Of course, some folks love to nurse resentments and bitterness instead of forgiving and letting them go emphatically—even when they are the original source of the problem! . . . sometimes particularly then.

How many FReepers, upon looking at the itinery in post #597 — as well as the content of what was said in some of those circumstances...and...

...not knowing it came from the book of Acts, would be quick to label the apostle Paul as “guilty” of “intemperate zeal”??

The key to zeal is its bottom-line purpose: It is FINE to be zealous, provided the purpose is GOOD, and to be so ALWAYS... (Gal. 4:18)

INDEED.

CHRIST made His message exceedingly compassionate and hearable for the broken and contrite.

He hit the arrogant, self-righteous etc. religious leaders upside the head with 2 X 4’s if not 4 X 4’s routinely.

GREAT testimony. Reading it I can’t help but think of how many willing servants of the Lord God uses, along with His timing and circumstances, for just one soul. There is no denying His great love for you. What a God we serve!
