If you have a complaint about that, then hit the abuse button, don’t come whining to me.

I think he is operting under THIS principle:

 Mat 18:15-18

"If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'

If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

I wonder why so many in authority don’t realize the lasting, negative effect they have on kids.

Things like this happen in ALL churches; I am afraid.

Even things said or done in a warm, friendly manner can have quite the opposite effect that was intended.

"Slow to speak" comes to mind...

It's hard to imagine that a Mormon would be converted by a bunch of "orthodox" Christians circling him and howling like coyotes.

Need I post the SCRIPTURE from MORMONism that makes certain statements about CHRISTIANS one more time?

Yeah yeah... they started it: two wrongs don't make a right: blah blah blah.

CHRISTIANS are given the COMMAND and the AUTHORITY to point out heresy and false teaching; Catholics seem to have no problem getting on the PROTESTANTS case; why the treating of MORMONs in a LESSER manner?

I thought it was something I had figgered out as I got older!

That is something I'd like to understand. When I was Mormon, the teachers of Mormonism just ripped at Catholics- called them the great harlot. Protestantism was seen as a movement their god allowed so his restoration Church would be acceptable. When I became Christian - I discovered what Catholicism was - one of us - Christian - one of the the first and essential in compiling scriptures. I honor the Catholic Church and share beliefs in the same God of the Trinity.

Mormonism is something different altogether - The Pope has officially recognized this - but yet, Catholics (especially here on FR) are doing whatever they can to protect Mormons and their bastardization of Christianity.

The Antis are exposing what their tainted version muddy the water so much that the on looker has no clue.

So we LDS seem strange as a convert I am amazed from the humble beginnings of the restoration of the Lord’s Church again on earth.

Today you get to witness in the raw the formation the restoration of the Lord’s Church taking place warts and all.

Our wonderful Bible there seems to be no journals, or records of handbooks etc only the sanitary version that has been handed down through the ages which were many times copies of copies that also were edited or revised depending upon church or secular polices.

The scriptures were not always in the hands of the people until the 1500’s AD by that time much has changed.

If one is alert when happening upon other articles one will see those debating old text mean OT & NT that many feel they
were mistranslated or what ever man is capable of doing.

Remember not all gatekeeppers of the word were annointed by the Lord.

Here is an organization telling you all is well don’t worry about what you don’t know for sure.

Was the Bible tampered with? How do we know the Bible was copied accurately? The good news is that the Bible is reliable, even though it was hand copied and there are variations between texts. This pamphlet explains the variations and why they don’t affect the trustworthiness of the Scriptures.

Man has to do his own home work and man has to learn how to discern the Holy Spirit for the things of the Lord and to recognized the Word of God and not relie upon those who set themselves up as authority who were not called of God.

GOD

Christian There is only one God (Isaiah 43:11; 44:6,8; 45:5).

mormon "And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light: and there was light (Book of Abraham 4:3).

Christian God has always been God (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 57:15).

mormon "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see," (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).

I hardly know how to answer.

We may have authority, permission, whatever to point out heresy and so forth. To what end? Are we supposed to think, Oh cool! Here’s a group God has given us permission to beat up on! Have at them!

I don’t see the point in mugging Protestants and other non-Catholics. I don’t see the point in mugging Mormons.

Besides, they keep the price of booze and coffee down for the rest of us. . .

Despite my orneriness, I kind of thought the point was to spread the Gospel in a way that it would be heard, not so that we could say, “Well we told ‘em and the Sons of Baal would not agree instantly with us, so it is now ‘weapons free’.”

But then there’s not much I understand anyway.

This is just a guess, but I think we see the same people mugging them as we see (in our opinion, insert disclaimer here, etc.) mugging us.

So it's easier for us to see the uselessness and nastiness of the mugging and to feel empathy for the muggees.

They were just trying too fit in with all the other kids. Nobody likes being different.

The Jehovah's Witnesses have a special place in their bile duct for us too.
