I know of dreams and visions that some Muslims have had of Jesus and what I tend to see is a person that then will turn to Jesus as their Lord, even at the risk of their lives, just like Paul's conversion. My point was that other then a note that is being debated as to if it is authentic or not and what the note means even if it is authentic, we have nothing else to lead us to the conclusion that this rabbi turned to Jesus as his Lord...it would be a shame if he did not. From reading the article it appears that his son and grandson are sure that he had not “converted” and it sounds like he did not share this information...the name of the Messiah...with them, that would also be a shame.

Based upon the lack of evidence of faith in Jesus (unlike Paul), the fact that the rabbi did not share this information with his closest family members or students, and that we are now three years removed from the opening of the note...I honestly do not see why there is so much interest in this note NOW. What new information has come about that this three year old story now takes on some importance?

1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet jonas:”

Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

My point is that I cannot say with any true knowledge that this rabbi was visited by Jesus, as I have no evidence of it. If we as Christians then link ourselves to this “sign” and it turns out to not be true then we do harm to the witness of Christ's body...we would have been deceived. I prefer to stick with using God's Word to spread the Truth since it is the only thing I have found so far that is 100% TRUTH.

I hope that the rabbi had turned to Jesus as his Messiah prior to his death...that he had found Him. That would be awesome, but I do not know this to be true so I will leave that in God's hands.

God bless

We don't know for sure that is true. Jesus shared His Word and many couldn't receive it. So the rabbi could have shared it in his own way and their scales preventing them from seeing/hearing.

If we as Christians then link ourselves to this “sign”

Why would you think that? Since when do Christians link themselves to a news report? I'll take the stand this report is true for argument sake - how does that affect my faith? it doesn't. Nor if the report is bogus - it's doesn't affect my faith at all.

Christians ALREADY know Jesus and KNOW nothing is impossible for God. His Will is for ALL to be saved. I know many of the Jewish faith that have accepted Jesus as their Savior.

This thread/story isn't about looking for a sign. It's a good news report.
