Well known and admired 108 year old Rabbi reveals the Messiah's name!
Nope - But then I consider 7th day Adventists to be brethren, and I am a Sabbatarian - so maybe my observance is not what others would typically see.
But this seems to be a fairly typical Baptist page...
THX
Will have to wait until I get home to watch it.
WHAT UNMITIGATED NONSENSE of an assertion.
NO WAY JOSE that most of Mat 24 has already been fulfilled.
That’s one of the most . . . unaware . . . assertions I’ve ever heard hereon.
NOT LOGICAL
NOT BIBLICAL
NOT HISTORICAL
I like to think I’m growing in patience.
However, regarding Preterism/Replacementarianism; A-milism, post-milism etc.
I think my patience is going the other way.
Not even in the same galactic cluster as truth.
THANKS FOR THAT NOTE.
Rock throwers on such threads are a hundred per Chinese fen.
In light of what is going on in our world today, any justification for believing that the book of Revelation has already happened and is over and done with is nonexistent and anyone who clings to that belief is simply deliberately denying prophetic Scripture.
I’m beginning to think that “ppsimmons” may be someone separate from this particular church and someone who has no association with the church.

Absolutely indeed.
In addition to . . . trying to . . . navigage . . . with their head in a place with no light.
Thank you my friend, my computer locked up once I tried to access the page. An omen perhaps?!?!?!?
Concur. Preterism simply leads to worldly deception.
Since all of history is His Story, their misidentification of the past will simply lead to failure for the entire angelic domain to observe.
“NO WAY JOSE that most of Mat 24 has already been fulfilled.

Your ignorance of history and hermeneutics is showing.
No.
That would be the blokes in some mirrors around here.
We have repeatedly documented the absurdity of such contentions. They are far from
1. HISTORICALLY ACCURATE
2. FAR FROM BIBLICALLY ACCURATE
3. AND VERY FAR FROM LOGICAL BECAUSE OF THE FIRST TWO.
It’s absurd to the max to even make such a preposterously outrageous claim. I had a hard time believing purportedly
—rational adults who claimed to be
—Christian and who claimed to
—have read Scripture and who purported to be
—the least bit educated about history
could believe such a stinking pile of irrationality.
However, having met a lot of REPLACEMENTARIANS et al hereon, I’ve learned that a number of “Christian” perspectives do believe such stinking piles of irraionality—as utterly shocking as it is.
At this point, I don’t even care that much to bother trying to educate beyond such utter ignorance and cluelessness. God will be showing such an idiotic perspective to be even worse than such a label implies, and not that far off, as well.
Giovanna and others have posted excellent documentation clearly outlining in some detail why Mat 24 is still future. If she cares to bother giving a link for some of the lurkers, more power to her.
Personally, my patience has grown short enough with so many of the abjectly clueless and grossly ignorant REPLACEMENTARIANS hereon, I figure they will deserve the rude awakenings scheduled to land in their laps.
Christ chided the pharisees for being able to discern the weather but being ignorant about major spiritual events and signs of such times.
The pack of REPLACEMENTARIANS hereon are orders of magnitude more ignorant and clueless, it seems to me.
INDEED.
THX.
I'm just curious if those things have ever been discussed here, since I'm new on the religion threads. Maranatha!
I personally do believe that there have been different ages before our present one and I also believe that those ages are separate and distinct from one another and one age was completely finished before another one began. That is, no part of this present creation evolved from previous creations which existed in bygone ages.
There are some who believe that the earth is indeed billions of years old, but this present age and the creation as we know it is only around 6,000 years old. I believe that that's true, and the war in Heaven involving Lucifer and his one third of the angelic host against God took place in those eons before life as we know it was created.
I'd like to see someone who is knowledgeable about this subject post some stuff on it. It'd make for some lively discussions!
"...and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the MYSTERY, which from THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD hath been HID IN GOD who created all things by Jesus Christ". (Eph. 3:9).
"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the MYSTERY which was KEPT SECRET SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN, but now is made manifest.."(Romans 16:25).
think about this for a moment. Our present Dispensation of the Grace of God was a mystery, kept secret since the world began. That goes past Abraham, past Abram, past Adam, to the when the world began. This is so interesting on so many levels. And I think there is enough scripture available to us to at least understand WHY.
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29)
God has told us what we need to know to obtain salvation, live healthy lives with His blessings, what we need to know about His return, and how to have a personal, fulfilling relationship with Him.
There are some things He gives clues about in Scripture, and some things He keeps secret and solely to Himself.
I think that what went on before He created this present age is one of those things He keeps to Himself.
Well, given your penchant for labels, like “preterist” and “replacementarian”, when you really don’t know what I believe, only makes you look like the illogical imbecile for continuing to rant and rave about it.
Further, your oft-repeated attempts to “shout down” any opposition by insults and invective, indicates you’re probably a union thug and Obama supporter. Yours is absolutely the kind of behavior one would expect from them.
If holding to your position - whatever that is - allows you to express Christ this way, then you really don’t get it.
