Why not answer my question? Clarify for all?

They were given authority by Jesus to baptize, preach, administer the sacrament.

And the "proof" is ....LDS writings?

“The apostles were killed, however, and over time the the authority to direct the church was lost. Hence the need for a restoration.”

Bull - or Heresy, if you prefer.

The Apostles were the FOUNDATION of the church.

Ephesians 2:20-22 (New International Version)

“built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.”

This is a historical fact. Done. No longer needed to lay
a new foundation.

The Church functioned FINE before the lds cult arose in
the 1800s. It functions according to the Bible without
any lds necessary.

This is in addition to the heresy the mormonic verses
teach:

Polytheism - trillions of gods
Jesus the created spirit being
God, just a regular guy who won the god-powerball lottery
polygamy in the church
false teaching about the triune nature of God

ETC.

The Jesus you believe “restored the priesthood” is a
created spirit being. Not the Biblical Jesus Christ
who is God, was always God and never will be anything less
then God.

That’s funny in Matthew 28:18, the resurrected Jesus told HIS ELEVEN DISCIPLES, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth is given to me “

At what point exactly did he get fired or maybe just decided to delegate?

Oh Snap!

The post you made last night to me (apparently - I didn’t see it) was deleted. Pity.

I don’t know, I’m lost. It seems the LDS treach that the disciple John from the bible is still alive. But nobody can say where he is or why he’s not leading the charge of the restored gospel, or refuting how the “Christians” messed with his books.

“Actually the Book of Mormon records that Christ chose twelve disciples on the American continent. “

And this is a Fiction Book, since there is NO evidence
of any of the claims of the mormonic verses...

Where (as this plaque claims) in the BoM, would a LURKER/INVESTIGATOR find the 'restored' gospel?

By the way, my well-developed disdain for televangelists does not in any way include Billy Graham and family

Well, I'm with you there. I really have to be very, very cautious when listening to TV preachers. I can't stand all the slick packaging and some are just in it for the money.

The test of course, as with all things, is the bible. Do they preach the Word? Are they pointing to Jesus?

Either find the post and catch me in a lie. Or slink back under the rock which you slithered out from . . .

When this VERY statement is tossed to an LDSer, they slink away with no comment; yet you are going to try it on an ANTI??

Please, if you haven't learned that most of the mega-church TV preachers and televangelists are complete scams, and anyone claiming to be a “Christian businessman” is probably a scam too, then good luck. You are in for a huge disappointment.

You may be right; but I can assure you that if JS was around today; he'd be in charge of a MEGA-church!

Oh; wait!

MORMONs ARE!!!

(The pictures starting to make any sense yet?)

What would happen to a LDS man if he showed up at services without his black suit jacket or even (gasp!) in a blue shirt?

Blue on black?

Chorus: Blue on black, tears on a river, push on a shove: it don't mean much. Joker on jack, match on a fire, cold on ice - a dead man's touch. Whisper on a scream, doesn't change a thing; won't bring you back - blue on black.

Blind, but oh, now I see: truth, lies and in between. Wrong can't be undone, oh, slipped, right from your tongue.

Repeat Chorus

...oh, sorry! Having a Kenny Wayne Shepherd moment, there. No, I don't think it's possible for a Mormon to wear a blue shirt... maybe a blue dress?

LOL! I just see the legions of Mo-men all filing in and out of stake houses every Sunday, all dressed identically, as if they are going to a funeral. Black suits, dark ties, alwasy white shirts.

Is is a requirement? How far can you vary without drawing Bishopry attention?

We CAN call statements untrue - we just can't ACCUSE others of PURPOSELY making them.

MORMONism is based on a lie - many, actually, spoken by JS.

But could we really call him a LIAR if he BELIEVED what he was saying?

Sure; it shows that BIBLICAL truths were IGNORED, but does that mean on PURPOSE?
