That's hysterical.
On one hand the Catholics criticize Protestants for sola scriptura, relying on the Bible alone, and on the other hand, are now criticizing for abandoning Scripture.
Which is it? Can you guys make up your collective minds and decide which we're really guilty of? Some consistency would be nice.
lol! One day “we” cling bitterly to our Bibles and our sola. And the next day “we” post with abandonment, using air facts as our guide. It’s very confusing, as I sit here, Bible in hand, just as I do day after day. Go figure..
NOW, NOW.
You should know by now from abundant relentless evidence hereon . . .
CONSISTENCY IS ANATHEMA TO THE CATECHISM.
DUPLICITOUS, DOUBLE STANDARD, IRRATIONAL INCONSISTENCY IS ACTUALLY A STATION OF THE WHITE HANKY. . . . a very hallowed !!!!TRADITION!!!! of the faithful.
As I have been attempting to show, Protestants are guilty of both - or rather, a selected group of verses (which vary from person to person) from the Bible, but clinging to some rather major non Biblical beliefs, while claiming to be Sola Scriptura. Both.
Both are errors. Sola Scriptura is an error because were it true, it would be taught as a sole rule of faith in the scripture. But it is not, the Church is given as the sole rule of faith (Matthew 18:18).
Abandoning the scripture is an error because the scripture is the inspired word of God, not your phony hermeneutics (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Mark 7:7)
“On one hand the Catholics criticize Protestants for sola scriptura, relying on the Bible alone”
As it should be since sola scriptura is not Scriptural and but one way God communicates to us.
“and on the other hand, are now criticizing for abandoning Scripture.”
Both sides do this at times to zealously prove the other wrong. Again, a logical refutation.
