Is “the Seer” considered official LDS doctrine? I can’t find a reference to it as such....magritte
[Jesus] by MARRYING MANY honorable WIVES himself, show to all future generations that HE approbated the PLURALITY OF WIVES under the Christian dispensation, as well as under the dispensation in which His Polygamist ancestors lived. “ (Mormon Apostle Pratt The Seer. page 172)

What did Joseph say about us?
Sick is lying on God and Jesus! Sorry if the truth is hard for you to hear.
Let me ask you two questions: If the BOM is the most correct book on earth and man will get nearer to God by abiding by it’s precepts than any other book.
1. Which BOM is the most correct book, the 1830 ed. or the 1985 ed. they’re different!
2. Why is there no Mormon doctrine in the BOM, a book that claims get you closer to God than any other book? For example: eternal progression, God being a man, Jesus and Satan being brothers, There is only one God, God is spirit and Celestial marriage. I could go on but you get my point.
I wonder if these people have considered the very real possibility that one or more of their ancestors was illegitimate. That would throw a monkey wrench in the whole thing. ;0)
I probably have lots of ancestors are illegitimate, so?
If it was not someone stupid, it was someone malicious attempting to cause trouble for the Church

Um...that is nigh near impossible anymore with the new temple recommends (with barcodes and magnetic strip). The ordinances were DONE. Doesn’t anyone bother to check?
A bucnh of holy rollers make up some mumbo jumbo and we are all supposed to be upset about it?
Read your bible, do good things, help others, accept God into your heart...
Helping these people to understand the idiocy of this would fall under the category of helping others. Other than that- at least they are not blowing up non-believers to make their point

Ummm...the LDS are not ‘holy rollers’. The LDS temple rituals are actually a ripoff of Masonic rites.
Furthermore: Read your bible, do good things, help others, accept God into your heart..doesn’t get you saved. Acceptance of Christ alone as Savior and His sacrifice on the cross is what gets you saved. Bible reading, good works etc, follow AFTER salvation. The LDS does not teach that, they teach that works, plus temple rites are required for real salvation (not just resurrection). FWIW, I used to be Mormon and have been a Christian for over 15 years now.
And helping the LDS understand the idiocy of their religion, and how it is damning them doesn’t fall under helping others, it falls under witnessing and that is what us ‘flying inmans’ do here on the RF.
lds “holy rollers”........really a laugh out loud moment.
Defame, malign and slander our savior and we get all out of sorts.
- - - -
And the fact that the LDS DON’T but DO get ‘all out of sorts’ if you defame their ‘CHURCH’, speaks VOLUMES about where their faith REALLY lies - in the ‘church’ not Christ.
Give them time.
It is not impossible. To my knowledge, you don’t need a temple recommend to submit names for ordinances. And, even if you did, malicious people have lied to get temple recommends before, and have gone into the temple with the express purpose of hurting the Church. Surely, you are aware of those instances.
I didn’t read the article. But the article, itself, acknowledges that the Church would not do this. FTA:
It appears the submissions for Jesus Christian, and Jesus Cristian were attempts to manipulate the identity of Jesus Christ through the LDS temple system. The misspelled Cristian, instead of Christian, could have been a typo, or a deliberate error. It may have been intentionally entered as Cristian to get around a computer program that automatically blocks submissions that contain the names Jesus Christ. That would explain why the entry for Jesus Christian shows LDS ordinances as Not available.
This, also, suggests that someone was acting maliciously.
I didnt read the article

Oh but sweety
Doing the “temple work” for the unsaved is a kindness...
Dead dunking and marrying guys to women is considered a necessary thing to do so the guy can become a “god” and go to the mormon afterlife ???
Would you really want the morm on jesus to miss out ???
after all only a mormon could have done it...
non-mormons dont have the access to the fool pool...
and Christians wouldnt do anything so blasphemous...
those anti-Christians, the mormons can get real malicious...
;)
The church may not have, but they did accept the records. Is there not some type of vetting process that would have prevented said “idiot” from being able to do this?
This also speaks to the mindset that many mormons have regarding the need to show that Jesus needed to be married and sealed to a wife so that the LdS doctrine of achieving celestial exaltation/godhood can be achieved and justified.
The dig was against your leaders and prophets.
