Archbishop Chaput lost all credibility when he defended CCHD last fall. When even the “conservative” bishops support the foul deeds of their left-wing brothers, I think it’s fair to say that the American Church leadership is in de facto schism.
I just checked your postings — you seem to really have something against CCHD.
But this thread is about priests, praying and Pentecost. Perhaps you could stick to the subject.
Does it follow then that we should not pray for priests?
Furthermore, does it follow that just because he has lost credibility in your eyes that he should no longer attempt to fulfill the duties of his office to strengthen the brethren?
Last time I checked, he is still an Apostle of the Church, imperfect as he is, yet conformed to Our Lord Jesus Christ by virtue of his ordination and consecration.
Archbishop Charles Chaput is the real deal. If you find you are at odds with what he says you need to reassess YOUR positions.
