"Very little else in this world can claim such antiquity and even if it does can it claim to have remained essentially unchanged in its dogma or teaching?"It is a miracle considering so many American (Kennedy & Pelosi) Catholics believe that like the U.S. Constitution, the Catholic Church should bend and twist itself into something it is not so as to satisfy the demands of a few deranged parishioners.

Its holiness comes strictly from its Founder.

**There are no governments or nations that have lasted 2000 years. **

Throughout the history of the Church, there have almost always been those who, from within, worked against it. Yet, by the power of God it endures.

I am Catholic myself and can’t for the life of me understand how one can be a Catholic and a Democrat at the same time. I am constantly heartbroken and sickened by the sheer multitude of American Catholics who consider the democrat platform a sacred call to arms for some greater cause. Pathetic!

This reminds me of :-— MATTHEW 16:18 “Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’), and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” Living Translation

Stay off this thread, thank you.
To: Natural Law; bronx2
Your posts were pulled because they spoke of non-Catholic beliefs on a "Catholic Caucus" thread.
In order to maintain the caucus protection, neither the article nor the reply posts may speak to the beliefs of those who are not members of the caucus. The alternative to pulling your posts would be to open the thread so the non-members can speak for themselves.
To: Religion Moderator
Are you saying that it is not acceptable to compare and contrast Catholicism to other religions as a legitimate way for Catholics to discuss our faith?
To: Natural Law
Contrasts can be made all day long on either "open" or "ecumenical" Religion Forum threads where those representing the opposing side can speak for themselves.
But they must not be made on "caucus" threads lest the label be used as cover to take pot shots at the beliefs of others.
To: Religion Moderator
Don't you think that is unduly restrictive on Catholics since the entire premise and reason for the existence of Protestantism is to oppose and stand in contrast with Catholicism?
