Yeah, like staying with the Catholic church could have had that effect at all. How many of the items pounded on that door were effectively allowed by the then Pope? How many still are?

The Catholic church had real issues then, as well as now.

And yet it is still the only Church Christ founded. Even the New Testament tells us of problems in the Church just a few years after Jesus founded it. People are corrupt. God isn’t. Neither is His Church.
