In all fairness, Dr. E is very open about being a member of the OPC and RNMom is a member of the PCA.

Thanks, Wagglebee. Every Protestant on these threads that I've spoken with has told us their church affiliation. Many Baptists, several Presbyterians, a few Pentecostals, a few Lutherans.

In fact, I can't think of anyone who hasn't told us of their church membership. It's not something we hide.

So why do Presbyterians hate Catholics so much? Or so it seems.

It’s hilarious to me, because the Presbyterian Church got their name from the Catholic Church, presbyter. Even St. Paul uses that word.

And all priest belong to some kind of presbyteral council; in the eastern U. S., it might be called something else.

From parish to vicariate or deanery to presbyteral council that meets with the Bishop to the Bishop’s council that meets with the Pope. Really a very short road/connection.
