Looks like an indolent Aztec royal lounging on a throne to me.

That’s not to discredit the notion of very old artwork, even cave drawings, showing “vehicles” that look rather like the modern conception of spaceships.

Whatever the things are, they’ve been around throughout recorded history.

I believe it was depicted in von Daniken’s “Chariots Of The Gods” and held out as an example of ancient space travel.

I find the conventionalized representations of six pointed stars, shooting directional rays or beams out of them, to be more compelling. They’re present in paintings, textiles and woodcuts across numerous cultures and nations, up to the middle ages.

But, that one, regardless of von Daniken’s interpretation, looks very much the picture of indolence. He’s got his feet up in the seat of the very elaborate, throne-like chair, and is resting his head on the left arm.

I agree whole heartly with you :)

God’s word is always true yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The Ancient of Days is “The Great I Am”. A loving God who sent his son Jesus, the Christ, to die for our sins. A living scarfice whose blood covered us all if we would just believe in him who rose on the third day delivering us, all who believe in him, from death as he did for his chosen people the Jews during the first passover. God bless all of Israel and God bless America.

Exodus 3:13-15

13Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

14God said to Moses, “I Am who I Am.b This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I Am has sent me to you.’”

15God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,c the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

Well, anyone who might argue that ancient astronauts engendered humans would have to ask first, who propagated them?

They would have to have originated in the same roughly middle regions of this galaxy, ostensibly from a single G2 star as that is what’s compatable with our existence, and it seems most G2 stars in the Milky Way exist in bi- or trinary systems. This would also have to be a metal enriched star, thus second or third generation, which places constraints on its age relative to the age of the galaxy.

In that their ships reflect light as depicted in most “ancient astronaut”, or even contemproary UFO accounts, they do not/cannot exceed light’s velocity and thus are confined to travel times in which they’d most likely not even be remembered by their societies once they got back, rendering their “missions” pointless.

I think that sticking to a terrestrial orign hypothesis/theory will yield the best information as to biogenesis rather than creating even more problems by running off after cosmic progenitors.

They could easily seduce people with showings of light, music, and visual spectacles.
