On all threads, but particularly open threads, posters must never make it personal. Reading minds and attributing motives are forms of making it personal. Making a thread about another Freeper is making it personal.
When in doubt, review your use of the pronoun you before hitting enter.
Like the Smoky Backroom, the conversation may be offensive to some.
Thin-skinned posters will be booted from open threads because in the town square, they are the disrupters.

Thin-skinned (emotional, whiney or mercurial temper) posters are the disruptors on open threads.
Ping
I am sorry I can not comment on this stupidity, I might say something that would be offensive to lds people.
Thank you, very good.
BTW, doesn’t Xemu summer at Kolob?
The facsimile is numbered, and the next page over provides a Joseph Smith explanation of what each area represents. (Of course, with 12 of these areas, Joseph claimed they "ought not to be revealed at the present time" or "will be given in the own due time of the Lord" or "If the world can find out these numbers, so let it be. Amen." )
Here's Smith's explanation of a female stick figure holding out what looks like a torch over the back end of some horned animal (Figure 5): It called in Egyptian Enish-go-on-dosh; this is one of the governing planets also, and is said by the Egyptians to be the Sun, and to borrow its light from Kolob through the medium of Kae-e-vanrash, which is the grand Key, or, in other words, the governing power, which governs fifteen other fixed planets or stars, as also Floeese or the Moon, the Earth, and the Sun in their annual revolutions. This planet receives its powers through the medium of Kli-flos-is-es, or Hah-ko-kau-beam, the stars represented by numbers 22 and 23, receiving light from the revolutions of Kolob.
Wow! A "real" Egyptian word, Hah-ko-kau-beam, with the ending "beam" in it, as he discusses how it receives light from a star as the star revolves.
(Oh, and the next time you hear a Mormon reference the "moon," just say, "Oh, you mean the Floeese?" That'll put into you on the "inside" with their "lingo"!!!)
I guess LDS theologians expect it will be centuries before man can travel to Kolob to falsify all this.
A popular LDS hymn about Kolob that mentions the ‘eternal regression of gods’ (God has a God who has a God who has a God, ad infinitum)
If You Could Hie to Kolob, 284 William W. Phelps
1. If you could hie to Kolob In the twinkling of an eye,
And then continue onward With that same speed to fly,
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
2. Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, No man has found pure space,
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.
3. The works of God continue, And worlds and lives abound;
Improvement and progression Have one eternal round.
There is no end to matter; There is no end to space;
There is no end to spirit; There is no end to race.
4. There is no end to virtue; There is no end to might;
There is no end to wisdom; There is no end to light.
There is no end to union; There is no end to youth;
There is no end to priesthood; There is no end to truth.
5. There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
There is no end to being; There is no death above.
There is no end to glory; There is no end to love;
There is no end to being; There is no death above.
From the REAL papyrus of Abraham ...Verses 1-5

(I/1) [Osiris, the gods father], prophet of Amon-Re, King of the Gods, prophet of Min who slaughters his enemies, prophet of Khonsu, the [one who exercises] authority in Thebes,
(I/2) [. . .] . . . Hor, the justified, son of the similarly titled overseer of secrets and purifier of the god, Osorwer, the justified, born by the [housewife and sistrum-player of ]
(I/3) [Amon]-Re, Taikhibit, the justified! May your ba-spirit live among them, and may you be buried on the west [of Thebes].
(I/4) [O Anubis(?),51 . . .] justification(?).
(I/5) [May you give to him] a good and splendid burial on the west of Thebes as on the mountains of Ma[nu](?).
[Osiris shall be towed in]to the great lake of Khonsu,
and likewise [the Osiris Hor, the justified,] born of Taikhibit, the justified,
after his two arms have been [placed] at his heart, while
the Breathing Document, being what
is written on its interior and exterior, shall be wrapped in royal linen and placed (under) his left arm in the midst of his heart. The remainder of his
wrapping shall be made over it. As for the one for whom this book is made,
he thus breathes like the ba-spirit[s] of the gods, forever and ever.
Hey, I know those stars! That’s from the opening of the original Battlestar Galactica series! (They were the twelve colonies of the planet COBOL; Earth was the lost thirteenth tribe. I wonder where they got the idea for that?)
Booking my first inter-planetary excursion for Kolob.
Looking forward to the kazoo players at the kebap festival on Kolob.....(drum roll).....KEBAM!
Now then; someone pick on Benny Hinn again...
Damned if that picture doesn’t look like a system of theology devised using Rational Rose or some similar yuppie style software design tool.
You just can’t make this stuff up.
what in the dickens is all this nonsense?
You know, it would seem to me that the Jewish people would rise up in outrage against this steaming pile of horse manure. Haven’t they endured enough? Why do they stand for it?
Or maybe they are laughing their heads off. I dunno....
