I wanted to share this story with you about a man who died, went to heaven and then came back. I find this, and stories like it, inspiring and encouraging to my faith. Who doesn't want to know more about what heaven is like? Or to know what to expect when we die? I hope this testimony does the same for you as it has for me.
And because this is the Exposed Blog and Exposing the ELCA website, I'd like to point out when the gentleman in this story encountered Jesus, Jesus quoted scripture to him. Also notice how God uses scripture throughout this story.
The Bible is, no doubt, God's written Word. (how can we be part of a denomination that tears it apart, casts doubt on it and out right rejects it?)

A few years ago God granted me a glimpse of heaven in a dream. In this dream I KNEW Jesus as being a best friend whom I loved and who loved me. I could talk to him as I would a best friend and he laughed when I did and was angry over injustices as I am. Then I went into the presence of God Almighty and experiences the most absolute love and peace that one can imagine. I liken it to being a baby in the arms of it’s loving parents. I wanted for nothing and I knew that God completely fulfilled my needs and desires. In my dream I COULD NOT worry because it was impossible to do so in God’s presence. But my words are small and petty and cannot adequately convey how much God lobes us.
But my words are small and petty and cannot adequately convey how much God LOVES us. (stupid fat fingers)
Perhaps it’s an intellectual love.
What a wonderful dream.
GREAT EXAMPLE OF SUCH CASES . . . Atheist . . . discovers his construction on reality was not contruent with OBJECTIVE REALITY—particularly from ALMIGHTY GOD’S perspective. It should be clickable now.

Thank you for posting this. Much of what my dream was matches Ian’s experience.
Thanks I’m going to forward the link home to watch again. Quite honestly, when I read the title I thought, Oh boy here is another bogus claim like you here all the time on late night talk radio, but his story and account sounds genuin.
I heard it said once that, - as a Christian, the day I die will be the best day Ive ever lived. But it wont be the best I will ever live.
The Heaven that awaits us is not harps, white robes, and never-ending boredom which is the perception that many people have, because that is what movies, cartoons, and paintings have showed us what it is like.
The Heaven John wrote about in the Bible is so full of wonders and mysteries that in our wildest dreams we could not imagine it. Certainly Heaven contains many surprises which we will never be able to comprehend in this life. And it will never be boring.
Think back to the one single best day of your whole life. Maybe it was your wedding, the birth of your child, your first trip to Disneyland, the anniversary cruise with your spouse, whatever. Now imagine each day in Heaven being that multiplied 100-fold, and the number of those days will be endless. That is what I firmly believe Heaven will be like. Is it no wonder that John saw All the Heavenly host worshiping the creator of it all.
I think anything is possible, but i put no faith in people,s dreams.
We all have experiences but you would not put any more stock in mine than what i would in yours.
The word of God is the only true word.
Amen and Amen
Very true. But seeing another’s Christian faith and hearing their experiences and be an encouragement to our own.

This one was intriguing because of the nature of the surgery performed, and it defies the explanations of "lack of oxygen," or "misfiring neurons."
ABSOLUTELY AGREE.
