Sorry, that's not an answer to my question.

Why are you asking me what I believe as you have already clearly pointed out that you know what I believe better than I know what I believe?

I suppose I could be wrong about what you believe personally, but I don’t think so. I know I am not wrong about what the LDS church teaches or what I was taught when I was LDS.

And the refusal to answer a simple question about what you claim you believe and the obfuscation here speaks volumes.

And I am expecting more obfuscation and that you will still fail to answer my question. Lurkers, take note.

That is why there is no point in continuing a dialogue with you.

Thank you for confirming that reaganaut has stated clearly what the LDS heirarchy tells you to believe. Whether you believe it or not is no longer relevent to this thread. We appreciate you’re playing. There are no lovely parting gifts, but readers are getting an eyeful from you as an ‘apologist failed’ for the doctrines and mandates of Mormonism. Have a nice evening.

So this is how lds answer questions put to them? Don has been asked multiple times to express what he believes in his own words. Go ahead and tell us - I'm not ashamed to speak about my faith. The floor is yours Don, answer the questions.

I gave you an opportunity to state your personal beliefs and whether or not they agree with what I was taught when I was LDS and you did not.

Interesting.

Individual thought and any variance from the LDS ‘party line’ is not only discouraged but can be grounds for excommunication. So often members do not investigate or harbor beliefs that oppose the LDS church.

Google the “September six” for info on 6 members who were disciplined for individual thought.

Either way it does not matter much. It is a catch 22. If Don personally believes that the Bible is NOT inerrant and complete for matters of faith and doctrine then he has been misleading us.

If Don personally believes that the Bible IS inerrant and complete for matters of faith and doctrine then there is no need for continuing revelation or ‘extra’ scripture.

I would love to see that, could you post the number. I was unable to find it.
If on another thread, would you provide the link. Thanks.

Post number? Or you could just answer the question posed here:

Do you, as a member of the LDS church, personally believe that the Bible is incorrupt and complete, esp in matters of faith and doctrine?
