Individual thought and any variance from the LDS ‘party line’ is not only discouraged but can be grounds for excommunication. So often members do not investigate or harbor beliefs that oppose the LDS church.
Google the “September six” for info on 6 members who were disciplined for individual thought.

Either way it does not matter much. It is a catch 22. If Don personally believes that the Bible is NOT inerrant and complete for matters of faith and doctrine then he has been misleading us.
If Don personally believes that the Bible IS inerrant and complete for matters of faith and doctrine then there is no need for continuing revelation or ‘extra’ scripture.
